North Platte River, Wyoming Fishing Map

It is a map. Has so-so level of detail. There are a few things on it that can’t be had for free from a USGS map but not too many. You should buy it because it is the best one out there but that’s only because there aren’t any others focusing on this special area. Pricy for what it is, but no other good options exist that I could find. I have bought other fishing maps that were basically a blue line on a napkin. I will not say this one is at that level but it still is pretty basic. One thing that would have made this map much better would be a little commentary on the various options for approaching the area and what to expect in terms of road quality. Portions of this area are impassable when wet by a 2WD and I was told by locals even by a 4wd. Making a bad choice in regard to this could be a life or death decision under the wrong conditions so this is not something to take lightly on such a remote area where water is nonexistent once you leave the river and snow can come any day of the year. Apparently miracle mile is worse in this regard than grey reef I was told, but again, this is the kind of thing you expect to be included on a tiny specialized map that costs a whopping $20. Be sure to inquire with a local shop about road conditions before wandering out here unwittingly and be sure to patronize the fly shop you ask because they deserve to the money more than this map maker does.
