A definitive guide to water magic
The first entry in Llewellyn's exciting new Elements of Witchcraft series . The series will contain three book releases. Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the opportunity. My review opinion is my own.I have always been interested in water magic as part of my practice. I had not found a book prior to this that was so well done and informative. I loved the spells and rituals included that anyone can incorporate into their practice. The author has historical water magic information of how different cultures view water over time and incorporate water rituals. The folklore section was fascinating and fun to learn. Use of shells and ocean rocks in incorporated here and very educational. I enjoyed reading this and will use many of the spells in my practice. Thank you to the author for such a well researched informative fun book. I highly recommend this book.

Good book
Good book. Wish she went into more detail in some spots, but it is good for some general knowledge about the uses of water.

Highly recommended for anyone who wants a deeper relationship with the element of water
There are so many things I loved about this book. Before reading this book, I felt I was not very familiar with water magic--I've often said it's my "weakest element." It was all a bit mysterious to me. But reading Lilith's experiences with water magic and her thoughts about it was so deep and insightful. She seems to have a natural understanding of it. I loved learning all of the history of how cultures viewed the magical element of water. One my favorite things in the book was the abundance of spells and rituals, especially the floor washes and the recipe for making Florida water. I've recommended this book several times over because I feel so much more able to work with the element of water now.

Water is transformation
Dorsey is a Voodoo Priestess drawing from the rich tradition of her lineage to talk about how water can express itself in our lives. Voodoo and witchcraft have many similarities, which she shares. She covers in-depth the importance of spiritual baths; and how to work with plants, gemstones and, animal guides. Her explanation of the different types of water, e.g., river, ocean, and spring, was very enlightening. Listen to my interview with her on Get Over It! Podcast.
