Tough, versatile professional screwdrivers
These Wera chisel drivers are great! This review is for the 7mm Head slotted head model with the 5" Blade. I like this combination of tip size and blade length. It's nicely balanced. 7mm is ever-so-slightly larger than 1/4", so there are some applications where the tip might be slightly too large (like on wall plate screws). This driver might not be ideal for electrical work, but it's perfect for working on cars, small engines and other household or construction jobs where you need a really tough, versatile screwdriver. Not only are the handles comfortable to grip when you need to apply a lot of torque, they are tough and take abuse. Most importantly, the tips are tough. The models you can pick up at Add On prices are incredible values for professional quality tools. Highly recommended!NOTE: A word about Wera for those who consider COO when purchasing tools – Wera is a German company. Their tools are designed there, but manufactured elsewhere, primarily in the Czech Republic, but some products are being produced in Taiwan. I can't speak for every tool in their lineup, but they must have excellent quality control because every product of their's I have purchased (mostly screwdrivers and sockets) has been extremely well produced. I would match their fit and finish with any tool line. They favor a matte finish chrome over the heavily polished chrome favored by US tool makers. I have found their finish to be extremely durable. And their steel is as tough as any other professional quality tools I own (USA produced and otherwise). If quality and durability are your main concerns, then you should definitely consider Wera products.

WRONG IMAGE GREAT TIP
It definitely is a superb large screwdriver. Few on the market make a slotted tip half inch or larger so they have little competition. What made me sad is I expected the nice BOLD YELLOW color of the Plus series and indeed the 2002 and 2004 (largest tip) comes with a solid black handle. Its hard. Hard to hold and not pretty.First one Amazon sent me even had a large gash in it that would tear your hand if I had used it continually. They replaced it readily. But with the SOLID BLACK handle, I thought Amazon had sent me the wrong version of Wera Kraftform, the non plus version. I checked with the firm and indeed the LARGEST OF THE DRIVERS HAS THE DIFFERENT HANDLE.I tried to upload images. Amazon didn't post them. I shall try again.I do wish someone would make a driver large tipped, even an inch wide, short shaft (we're not all tall burly men) and give me a comfortable handle to boot.

The most robust screwdriver you can buy.
This is seriously the most robustly made screwdriver I have ever seen. I compared it to the equivalent Felo ergonic, and it is more substantially built (and the Felo is no slouch). The only thing beefier is the 14mm head version (I got that too). The value proposition at over $20 for one screwdriver is a bit questionable, but it’s worth it. One note, the striking cap is smaller than on the smaller yellow and black Wera chiseldrivers.

Now a Wera Fan!!
This is my first Wera tool, and so far I am very happy with it. I only purchased one screwdriver which was the Phillips #2 with 4" blade, just to see how I liked it and go from there. I have had a chance to use this a few times and the results are just staggering. The grip is extremely comfortable and rivals even my Klein screwdrivers which I believe to have very comfortable grips. I also feel as though I get more torque as I am using this driver versus others. Just something about the way you can grip it and really get some serious turning power on that phillips screw. These grips also should be great for people with arthritis, or people with joint problems in their hands or wrist problems. It is a very solid, well-built screwdriver which looks and feels as though it will last a long time. Wish I would have given Wera a try sooner, it really is that good. This certainly will not be my only wera purchase, I've already added several Wera items to my wish list including the screwdriver with removable 4 inch blades. Only time will tell how long this lasts, but if anything changes, I will be sure to update my review. Can't go wrong with these and they should last a very long time.

Excellent but may be uncomfortable
Now this is a sweet tool. The tool steel is fabulous and has lots of character with a strong hex-shaped beautiful matt finish. There is a larger hex collar where the steel meets the handle. Overall the driver is short and if to do again--I wanted one of these to get a feel of one--I'd get a bigger size for me. My hands are a large glove male, so this handle is rather small and to grip or do work continuously would not suit. In my big hands, the grip is not comfortable. In medium or small sized hands, it might be better. The quality of the grip is great, really great and the rubber is a tangerine color which really is very nice and does its grippy job very well. Overall fit and finish is on par with the best, maybe even the best when compared to Wiha, Klein, PB Swiss and SK, all of which I have. I highly recommend this driver, just note that this grip design might not be the most comfortable.

Excellent!
A great addition to your toolbox. This screwdriver has shaft that extends all the way through the handle and is designed to allow striking to use as a blunt chisel to loosen stubborn fasteners. It also has a bolster that allows turning the shaft with a wrench. Typical Wera superb quality and design.

Extremely Useful
I purchased this to be my pry bar, demo driver, and all around beater. It sits in my back pocket while I am installing flooring, framing a basement, and all around general maintenance around my house and RV. It is really durable and strong, and you can really lay into it to persuade stubborn objects, screws, nails, tack strips, and staples. I'd give the grip a 10/10. It is comfortable with or without gloves, and I was worried it would shatter under heavy abuse, but it has stood the test of time. I highly recommend this screwdriver!

One of the best screwdrivers available
This is definitely one of the best screwdrivers available. I’ve been using both this Chiseldriver and the lasertip version for years. Both are great. This Chiseldriver is the tougher of the two, because of its 'Thru-Tang Blade' that means you can hammer it to loosen screws if required. However, PB Swiss still has the edge for slotted screwdrivers.Pros: Very comfortable in the hand. Ergonomic. Long lasting. High quality. Very tough!Cons: I’ve found PB Swiss definitely has the edge over Wera for slotted screwdrivers. The PB Swiss equivalent is the Heavy Duty SwissGrip screwdriver, which also has a thru-tang blade (PB 8102 D Series). If you need a slotted screwdriver, then PB Swiss is brilliant because the unique ‘parallel tip’ reduces cam-out. It's surprising how much difference this makes.

Great for removing old slotted screws
I am a joiner and often have to remove tough, old slotted screws in doors and window frames. These drivers are great as you can give the driver a few taps with a mallet while turning, which often helps to loosen the screw. I have had Snapon drivers in the past and can say the quality of these Wera drivers is just as good, for a much lower price. They will last you years as long as you don't use them for jobs you would use a crowbar for. They will lever and chisel within reason though.

Robust, reliable and precisely manufactured.
This screwdriver has to put up with very rough handling from my side. The last one (I lost it unfortunately) had been with me for 10+ years being treated as a tool. One of the first things I did with it was chopping a 4" Nail and there is no mark on the blade to see. I have fallen in love with the Wera screwdrivers. For daily use I am using the stainless versions as they are very universal. For the rough bits of work it has to be the Kraftform Plus for me. And on the electric side there are the VDE versions. I tried other screwdrivers but split handles, worn or damaged blades made often very quickly an end to these attempts. Most of the time I only have to replace a Wera screwdriver as I lost it somewhere. And even the stainless ones being in constant use are lasting years and never leave rusty marks.

good quality
Good quality solid screwdriver to enabling you to use with a hammer or spanner if needed. it is also good to use in the hand and you can use it instead on messing up your VDE screwdrivers on non-electrical items, saving VDE screwdrivers for what they are to be used for. good general purpose screwdrivers, ideal for strip down maintenance of machinery.
