Kaboom Hardwater Bathroom Cleaner, Lime, Calcium & Rust Remover with oxi Clean Stain Fighters, 32 Ounce

Having used the foamy Kaboom cleaner (which seems hard to find anymore), I tried this item. It is strong and works well. However, my recommendation is to use it for those deep cleaning sessions; gets rid of grime, mold, mildew, etc. like nothing else and the surfaces do not get that heavy build up very quickly (esp. in the summer). For more regular cleaning sessions, I would use a foamy type cleaner since this one does have a strong smell. Using it in between the regular sessions is the best use of it since such a strong cleaner is not needed every time you clean. I do recommend it when you want to deep clean.

Typically clean bathrooms every 2 weeks and in Houston summers that can leave light mineral stains in toilet bowls. This stuff works great on that, leaves bowls sparkling white. I will usually plunge the bowl as empty as possible, pre-treat the 3 bowls I have for @30 min, then come back and finish the rest of the bathroom and bowls. Heed the warning about using in a ventilated area, the smell of this is very strong and can be irritating to eye, nose, throat.

This stuff is better than CLR at removing hard water stains. You don’t really have to scrub but works best if you do. You’ll need some ventilation because it has a really strong smell.

It works okay. I needed a good cleaner that didn’t have bleach. Live in a hard water area. I keep up with the cleaning involved due to that, so can’t profess that it cures heavy build-up.The sprayer head comes outside of the bottle, both pieces held together tightly with shrink wrap. The sprayer head was damaged, but still usable. I believe the damage is caused on site at the production facility, rather than by Amazon. Read a lot of reviews about broken sprayer heads with this product so bought a $1 sprayer bottle to pour the product into, just in case.All-in-all, it’s an okay product when bleach can’t be used. Strong odor, but bearable for me. Bleach actually affects me worse than this did. I’d purchase again.

We have clear water iron and lime in our water. I sprayed my shower walls with this and right away the build up started running down the wall. It took about 3 times of spraying and wiping it down then rinsing, but now it shines.

Generally I use plant based cleaners to clean my bathtub and shower. However, I’ve been taking an almost excessive amount of baths due to body aches and using lots of essential oil and epsom salt and needed something that worked a bit harder. Also, I’m in my third trimester of pregnancy and scrubbing the tub has become increasingly more difficult so i seem to do it less frequently.Due to the pandemic there seems to be quite the shortage on bathroom cleaner and a friend had previously recommended Kaboom and this was available, so I purchased it. I can only assume she was referring to normal Kaboom (not this hard water one) but it was what was available at the time.The product works excellently to remove soap scum and has my bath looking brand new. However, and this is a HUGE however, the smell is absolutely caustic. Literally I had to run out of the bathroom the instant I pulled the trigger for the first time. It burned my nose and throat and rendered me near unable to breathe. I find I can only use this product if I wear a mask and run the bathroom fan, keep the door open, and bring in a tower fan to circulate the air. It works well enough but at what cost? It seems like it is eating away at my respiratory system much like it is all the soap scum and water stains! I would only recommend using this product if your bathroom is incredibly well ventilated and I can’t emphasize that enough!

This product is way better than any other that I have used to remove hard water stains from my glass shower door. It sprays on easily, stays where you spray it, and doesn't require a lot of of scrubbing to get the scum off. It does not have a strong scent when you spray it, but if you use a lot of it you eventually have to leave the room while it does it's job. It permeates the air with an acid-like aroma as the reaction takes place to remove the spots. It will take your breath away if you use a ton of it at once, so I recommend working in small areas while using an exhaust fan. I am amazed by how effective it is. Definitely recommend.

Use d this to remove hard water stains on boat windshield. Smelled quite bad, but it did a great job of removing stains that several other glass cleaners could not. I was careful to keep this away from the boat body as much as possible and rinsed well where it came in contact by overspray. If your glass is already etched, it won't fix that, but I am happy with the results on my glass. Just use in well-ventilated area.
