The Adventure of Mother Hen and Her Ten Eggs: (An amusing tale of courage and hope)

A great book for the 3 year to 5 year ages and perhaps an early reader. A story encompassing basic counting in rhyme. Rhyming is enjoyed by children and they seem naturally attuned to it. The Illustrations are top notch. At times, the rhyme and rhythm are strained and could be smoother for reading aloud. The use of coordinating the text color to words (e.g., the word "brown" in brown) did not register well for the light colors on the Kindle. Don't know about print.

It helps to teach numbers and colors really well. I like story of the hen and all the animals taking the eggs and getting them back.

Inserted and bound between pages 18 and 19 of this book was another entire and unrelated 28-page book. Book appeared to have been a privately printed 'on-demand' item - displayed the date of my order.Unhappy with the purchase and am returning - a dis-service to the author. But the book is useless to me and not appropriate as is for a 2 and a half year old.

Beautiful story and good Mother’s Day read. Mother Hen went far and wide in search of her missing hen. Confronted animals fit to kill her in the name of love. Also teaches never giving up on what you know is yours.

A story of hope and courage, this is a lovely story about a mother who won't give up. I liked the rhymes, the pictures, the characters in the book, the story, and I especially liked the ending!

This story builds on a lot of angles. The mother and children bonding, courage and grit of the hen, the concept of Colors, numbers and stress on new words!! This is a poetry and a story all rolled into one!! I would strongly recommend this to kids of age 2 to 4 or even older 😊
