The step were easy to follow. Came with packaging to send tray in for testing. Quick results with detailed digital explanation. Accurately pinpointed the mold I had in my bathroom. That wasn’t visible to human eye however affected our health. With the lab results, I was able to terminate my lease early.

If you think you have mold you just need to have a professional test done. These essentially tell you nothing.

There were several different methods of testing such as leaving it out to test the air, putting by a vent, swabbing surfaces, etc. we chose to leave it out in the open in different rooms where we had visible water damage or mildew/mold, since our symptoms are respiratory ones. One caveat is that they say they require you buy/submit a second outdoor test as well to use as a baseline (I guess if your indoor mold is the same as your outdoor mold then you don’t really have an issue with your home). But we opted to just send in our indoor test alone since I really just wanted to see if there was a presence of black mold, and if came back positive we would hire a company for a more thorough professional assessment. We had an issue where our kit did not include the return mailer that was supposed to be included (free return shipping). I emailed them and they sent me a prepaid label to print out. After about a week I received confirmation of receipt, and then a few days later they emailed results (photo attached). It provided a little peace of mind knowing we have common allergens but probably not toxic mold. Hopefully it’s actually accurate.

The only thing I can say is that it was your nice to pay for the labs in advanced so I didn’t have to do it later. It was easy to collect and ship. The app is also nice.

Once you follow the directions, you should be fine. It does work.

We bought this because my daughter and her roommate have suspected a mold issue in their apartment as they have both been suffering symptoms of exposure This test confirmed their suspicions and we are now pursuing remediation.

Mold and fungus in the house

I performed an air and swab test, registered it online, sent it in as directed, and received an email stating they received the tests and gave me a date that the results would be posted. The date came and went so I reached out to Pro Lab to get an update. I was told that both samples had been tested and the results were in, but they wanted an additional $80 to post the results. After I let them know that testing was included in the price of the test, they posted the swab results and said that the kit included a basic testing only and said that I could pay $40 for the other test results. I expected both samples be tested since the instructions tell you to do batch samples and send them in together with the provided packaging. Then the results provided aren’t complete or provide any useful information.
