TAMIYA 87131 Panel Line Accent Color Black For Plastic Model Kit

I've used many pin washes and by a country mile this Tamiya one is the best I've come across. I'm sure there are others but non of the acrylic types come close.Which, of course means that this is a solvent based wash hence it's ability to wick along lines so well.The great thing is that if you have used acrylic, then you can gently clean up any overspill with a gentle solvent without damaging the paint below.Comes with an integral application brush that is ideal for the job. Superb stuff.

A pretty good product that can save a lot of time doing one specific job. When I think of the time I've spent panel lining through the years when this is so much faster. Watching it fill in a line is quite freaky.Drawbacks? Any blockage in the line can make it overflow and if it's a long job the pigment can start to separate again. Although that might be because it's a new pot and I may have to stir it more thoroughly. After all, it took over a month to get here. Some acrylic paints also seem to absorb it and it bleeds whilst drying. I've had one paint job totally ruined that way.I can't fathom why Tamiya don't sell this in the UK. I'm sure the price would drop and all serious modellers could use it.

Very happy with product does exactly what it is meant to. Was a bit late arriving but be live that was mostly due to covid restrictions would defintly recommend.

Finally! After waiting nearly 2 months, item delivered. Never ever buying HowFun products again.The product itself however. PERFECT! Good consistency and longlasting. The excellent and appropriate item for panel lining ones models. Very satisfied with the product.
