they did not feel as supportive and comfortable as this one
I have been buying tempur-pedic pillows for the past seventeen years and have always been content with them. The pillow's firmness will last about four years and then it's time to buy a new one. This past year I purchased other expensive brand name pillows but unfortunately, they did not feel as supportive and comfortable as this one. Everyone is different, sleeps different and has a different body shape so if this pillow does not work for you, it has nothing to do with the manufacturer, it just means you need to keep trying other pillows until you find one that fits best for you.

Too firm for side sleep, and can't use for back sleep
The media could not be loaded. I should believe others' review before I clicked the checkout button... I've slept on latex pillows for five years. When other reviewers saying this is too firm, I thought how firm a memory foam could be ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Latex even won't let you head sink in, just bouncing around. But when I receive this pillow, I immediately realized how ignorant I am. This video compares to a moderate soft memory foam pillow, you can see that even a pushing hand can't sink into it, not to speak of a head. Dense like rock and too high for back sleep position, forcing my head bow down, chin to neck (#`Д')ノ . The only way to sleep on it is the side sleep position, let your shoulder to fulfill the height. So uncomfortable that I had to returned it. The sole positive feature I can say is the gel actually works, can feel the cooling.

I love this pillow.
First off I want to thank all the one star and two star reviews. You guys are amazing for being honest. They said this pillow was firm and man is it. I love it. I need a firm pillow and this is just the bees knees. In the pictures (left) is the Tempurpedic and (right) a "pillow" from the post exchange. The weights are from my running vest. See the difference, I feel it. My body loves the firm pillow. Also, it's heavy which makes it a choice weapon in pillow fights....just saying.

Gave me constant neck and shoulder pain
I bought this to replace my Tempur-neck pillow that had gotten too soft. I need a very firm pillow, and I sleep on the side, so this looked good. I should have listened to the reviews and avoided this one. I'm a petite (5'3) woman and used the smaller side of the pillow. The first month was fine. But then I started getting extreme neck and shoulder pain on my right side (the side I don't normally sleep on). This went on for about three weeks, but I didn't suspect my new pillow because it had been fine for a month. I tried massages, physical therapy exercises, pain relief creams... nothing helped. Finally, I realized it could be the pillow, so I switched back to my old Tempur-neck pillow. The next morning, the pain was MUCH better. That was a week ago, and now I have virtually no more shoulder pain (though my neck still hurts). My guess is that even the smaller side of the pillow is too high, and it was messing with my spine and neck alignment. It may be okay for a taller person with wider shoulders, but if you have a smaller frame, look elsewhere.

very uncomfortable
This pillow did not work for me. However I would say it is a good pillow a bit over priced for the comfort. The smallest part to put your head is very big/high. so if it doesn't match up to your neck it won't work for you. Its like a hit or miss. i did find it to be cool, but not if you put a pillow case on. that would defect the purpose, who doesn't use pillow cases. Well my final thoughts is i would recommend this pillow for someone who maybe extremely tall with a long neck and maybe some weight to smusch the pillow down to be more comfortable. Not trying to be funny....I did return for refund. i can say that the home goods coop pillow is a good one to recommend. you can adjust your pillow to ur liking.

If you like a firm pillow, try this.
I'm a bit over 6' tall with fairly broad shoulders, but I'm also a side sleeper, so having a pillow that is tall enough and firm enough to support my head and maintain a straight neck line is important to me. I searched for years trying to find a pillow that would work and prevent my chronic stiff neck but was never satisfied until I got this pillow. It works for me. I've seen complaints that it's too firm, and that is probably true for some folks, but for me stiffer is better - in fact, this pillow replaced the buckwheat hull pillow I'd been using for years, which was something like sleeping on a sandbag. This pillow is quite firm, but the foam also adjusts to you after a few moments, so I find it comfortable. If anything, I'd like it a little taller, but so far the is the best pillow I've tried.

Nothing like previous pillows; incredibly disappointing.
I've had multiple neck surgeries and their previous pillows have been the only ones I could sleep comfortably on, so I've been using their memory foam contour pillows for many years. I needed to replace mine but hadn't been able to find one locally so ordered this one on Amazon. It's horrible! I removed it from the package and left it in another room to allow several weeks for the odor to go down before I tried sleeping on it. This was a major mistake as by the time I tried it out and found that it caused me severe neck pain, my return window had closed. So I'm stuck with an unusable $119 pillow and their past wonderful pillow style is no longer available.

Wonderful
If you are looking for a soft pillow this is NOT the one for you. This pillow gives your head and neck support and Keeps your neck and spine in alignment. Works great for back and side sleepers. It has two different sides, one is thicker than the other so it can accommodate smaller and larger people. I have tried many many pillows in the past. This is the first one I have used that I can wake up without a sore neck. I bought my first one over a year ago and I still absolutely love it. This is the second pillow I have bought, so I can keep one in our camper. I cannot sleep without this pillow.

I love this pillow
I love this pillow. This is my third Tempur pillows, and I'm always happy with their products. I had been searching for firm pillow which can support my neck, and I found this one. I always have problems with my neck and shoulders. Since I got this pillow, the problems have been solved. If you're looking for a firm pillow, this one is yours but if you don't like the firm, this is not your pillow. Under description, it already described this pillow is a Firm style , and people still complaint its too firm for them , like a concrete????? Go check on the medium firm then lol

Worth every penny
Best pillow I have found so far. I recently purchased and returned 2 Tempurpedic contour pillows as they lost their firmness in about a week or so. This one is a dream. It’s way firmer and larger then the previous pillows and my chiropractor even said my neck is way less tight and tense. Worth every penny.

Firm = rock solid.
Firm does not begin to describe this pillow. It is more like trying to sleep on a cement curb.I tried 5 nights in a row, not happening!

Good support pillow.
Good quality foam. I would prefer the mid section to be a little softer. The edge is nice and firm for neck support.
