I purchased a webcam that was #5 on the Amazon list because it was the highest-rated in stock. It had very poor image quality so I returned it. I was overwhelmed by the many choices and ended up ordering the #35, #54, and #243 highest ranked webcams (at my time of purchase). This is the #54th most popular model and the best of the ones I tested. It has an easy setup, can be clipped to the laptop or mounted on a tripod, it has manual focus, and great picture quality. I don't use the mic. If you are concerned about manual focus, don't be. It's far superior to autofocus for a webcam if you are sitting in front of your laptop on video calls. Manual focus doesn't change unless you want it to. My experience with autofocus is that it's constantly zooming in and out. I recommend this for anyone working from home and in need of an affordable, reliable, higher quality webcam that what came on your laptop.

Received the device at about 1100 a.m. I was ready at 1115 a.m. for a noon Zoom meeting. I did nothing other than plug it into a USB port on my Windows 10 computer, set the device on my desk, and point the camera at my smiling face. Video quality is excellent. I use my Amazon Basics microphone for the audio, so I can't comment as to the quality of the audio. This device is absolutely 5-star for quality, ease of use, and value (I paid $39 in a Daily Deal).

I bought this for zoom meetings. The built in camera on my laptop (HP Envy 17T) gave a very poor image. The good: The camera immediately started working once I plugged it into the USB. I use Windows 10. Installation was remarkably easy. The image is excellent and it does not over react to lights in the distant background, whereas my laptop cameras do. The manual focus does not bother me. In fact, I kind of like it. I can dial in the focus such that the background is a bit blurred but my image is crystal clear. The bad: The microphone is pretty awful. It sounds like I am in a tunnel. I just switched it back to my laptop microphone and that works well. I backed off one star for this. Overall, I think this is a great deal for $40, especially since I can't find anything else right now that is less than $250. The sudden need for cameras as a result of the stay at home orders has made it nearly impossible to find one. I am glad I purchased this. it helped a lot. One FYI: The virtual background on Zoom will still not work with this camera. But its not the camera's fault. It turns out this feature will not work with the video capabilities of my laptop (the video card). A new camera will not help.

This webcam has worked well and has a GREAT lens. It does a lot better in various lighting situations than most other webcams I've used. I haven't used the built-in microphone as those are usually not great and I use a USB condenser microphone. The lack of auto focus is a drawback, and while the overall build of the camera is solid and the manual focus wheel works, it's not easy to grip and stiff to turn. I would have liked to see the focus ring be on a bearing to have a smooth, easy control. Especially with the current needs though, definitely worth the price!

This Web Cam was easy to set-up and install. I'm not a technical person and I was worried that I would need some assistance in setting the camera up. The directions were easy to follow, installation took no time. My concern after set-up was that I was unable to see myself to see if it worked. I had a co-worker send me a test Zoom meeting and Voile', it worked. The picture quality is great and it was easy to focus. I'm so glad that I purchased this item, it allowed me to expand my business. Totally Satisfied!!!! Robin S.

The order arrived promptly and the camera didn't require installation. Simply plugged in the USB and began using it for Zoom immediately. Mounting it on top of your computer/laptop might be a little tricky depending on your setup, but it worked out alright for our monitor. While the video display is not crystal clear, it is solid. Despite concerns I had about the audio quality after having read reviews about it sounding like you're in a tunnel and the audio/mic feature being useless, my brother and I did not find any issues with the audio quality

While it's not a wide angle field of view (roughly the same field of view as an iPhone or MacBook), it nevertheless introduces a bit of distortion like a wide angle lens would, so a desk or wall behind you seems to curve away at the edges of the frame. The picture quality is decent, better than the 2018 MacBook's 480p camera. It's not quite 1080p when streaming – probably 720p upscaled. We are using a USB-C to USB 3.0 hub to connect the camera, so that might be why we are also experiencing the muffled audio other reviewers mentioned. Since it's easy enough to select the MacBook's built in microphone while using this camera, that wasn't a deal breaker. It works with FaceTime as well as other video conferencing platforms, including doxy telemedicine using Safari.

This is a good camera at a reasonable price. Using a windows laptop it was plug and play and attaching the camera to the top of a monitor is simple. It can also fit on a tripod. The picture quality is good enough for Zoom calls. The camera only focuses manually, which is not a problem if you plan to use it while sitting at a desk. The field of view is relatively large, just keep this in mind when considering how much of your room will be in view in the background. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase.
