Great general use dive light
I bought two of these hoping they would help illuminate all the coral swim throughs and and sea life on a dive trip. One as a gift for my brother and one for me. They worked out great over 11 dives in 7 days on our diving trip. We charged them every other dive day, The charge lasts pretty well and didn't seem to dim between charges. We took these to depths of 110 feet multiple times. Just make sure the seals (there are 2) are fully closed after charging the battery and you should be perfect. We used a colored rubber bands to distinguish between the 2 lights on the boat and to in case we found the on off switch would slide on us (which it didn't). Very bright and effective light, way brighter than the dive companies rental lights for our night dive. I recommend these lights for general diving use. Please let me know if you found this helpful so I'm not wasting my time writing these. =-)

Everything you need in a scuba light
OK- I've got a little experience with this now after more than a dozen dives. Firstly, I took others' advice and greased up the two O-rings. I've taken it to 90-100ft multiple times, with not a drop of leakage. The light is nice and bright, although it's definitely a spot light. Great during day dives looking deep into holes for lobster and octopus (found quite a few). I took it through deep, dark, long swim-throughs- it was excellent. And, did some night diving with it as well. It was brighter than anyone else's lights, although I guess nobody else had anything substantial. The Goldengulf has a substantial and solid feel to it. Solid metal. feels great in your hand, and the strap comes with a slider to securely attach it to your wrist. As the light isn't regulated- it will start off at its brightest, and slowly dim. but even after a solid hour of nighttime use, it was still quite bright. The magnetic switch is a pleasure to use- easy to feel and comfortable to slide. the only issue- and this is a fairly significant one and the reason why I docked it a star, is that it's too easy to accidentally bump the light on when you don't want it on. It regularly got turned on in the pocket of my BC- not sure how. (problem since solved, see below)Extras: OK, you're buying a light- and it's great. But, the deal here is that it comes with some extras. Firstly- the aforementioned wrist strap. Well designed. Oh, and a little case.the battery that comes with it is marked as 2800mAhr, which is a decent battery- and it does seem to last quite a while. The charger that comes with it will do the job, but it's slow. You'll need quite a few hours to fully charge the battery. But- hard to dock it, as you can get a nice pair of better batteries and a better charger for $12-$15. Hey, the fact that it even comes with a decent 18650 battery plus a charger is pretty special for such an inexpensive light. You can always buy yourself the better Panasonic 3400mAhr batteries if you need 20% more duration.Really - the only issue with the light is that the switch is too easy to turn on. So- use the case that it comes with. The case isn't anything special- and the light itself is so rugged, you'll be tempted to just toss the case out. But- the good thing about the case is that it keeps the switch from getting bumped in your dive bag.:::::Edit::::: Found a solution to my issue- just wrap a rubber band around the grip in such a way as it keeps the switch slid into the OFF position. It's easy to move the rubber band out of the way with your thumb, or back again to secure the switch.

This might be an awesome dive light at $35
This is an awesome dive light at $35.I got it as a backup for a much more expensive light and I am quite pleased with the price performance ratio.I wish I could test it's luminous output against their claims, but subjectively it is quite bright. It appears to have a beam angle of about 10-11 degrees, it is the spotlight variety, not a flood. The magnetic switch is a great feature that gives me good confidence in it's durability. Build quality is quite nice as well it appears.Update: I used this light in the lake this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday went great, no problems.Sunday, on an 50 minute dive to 25 ft it flooded. The water came in through the lens unfortunately, and has refused to dry out. Amazon refunded me my money and I'll be getting another one shortly. It was nice that when it flooded, the flashlight kept working. The first sign it was acting weirdly was that I couldn't turn the light off.I'll update after my dive next week, we'll see if it happens on round 2!Ok, so forgot about this for a while. It's still working, 2 years later. I opened up the front section of the housing about a year ago and cleared out all the water that had leaked in, still working since then mind you, taken on at least 10 dives during that time, mostly less than 30 ft though. Mangled the housing a little on dissassembly, scratches on the soft aluminum, but nothing other than cosmetic. Gooped up all the seals with some RTV silicone, tightened it up, popped the o-ring because I got it too tight, de-disassembled, reassembled more carefully, and since then it's been great, no more problems.

Great product - spare O-rings
Love the product. Great torch, really robust. Easy to remove an insert battery. Comes with spare O-rings as well.I think the case could be improved but but all round great product and I would highly recommendQuestion: do you sell spare batteries?

Good light but water got in
I bought this dive light as a bit of an entry torch for diving as I was going to buy a more expensive one later on, and this one would be a backup. However, after about 6 dives with it, the light started flickering and turned off completely although it was fully charged. When I got home, I unscrewed the cap to get the battery out to charge it and the inside was wet. I was disappointed to find this as I expected a dive torch to not have water in it. It was screwed on and I had both o-rings attached as the instructions told me to.

Save your money
Save your money or find another torch option! The first time this torch arrived it simply wouldn’t turn on, even with the battery fully charged, I returned it and got a new torch however after 2 dives this torch has stopped working again! You can hear the battery rattling around inside the casing and will only turn on if you hold it in a such a specific way. Would highly recommend looking elsewhere for a torch.

Work well, for a stating Diver
The torch works well under water, to 20 m 65 ft ( my dive limit) . Good communication with company when problems exist.
