Security concerns
I've had this DVR for a while now and it has performed ok for the most part. As soon as I installed this unit I started to see security issues with my router logs. The unit was accessing IPs outside of my network as well as throwing thousands of malware alerts. Our internal network was being scanned for IoT devices, etc. I started to dig into it a little more and could trace access to specific IPs both in the US and in China. At first I thought these were false alarms but as I dug into the detail I am confident the unit is compromised. I blocked all internet access from the unit and the majority of the security alerts on our router were resolved. 95% of the issues were from this DVR. I would not recommend this device to anyone.

I am amazed!!
Replaced a defunct 10 year old DVR with this unit. It is a world of difference. This new technology or maybe this company is fantastic.I have 8 old cameras already mounted, these are conventional hard-wired with power supply type cameras.It took all of five minutes to hook up this new DVR. Simply plugged in the cameras, monitor wire and internet wire. Worked perfectly. Beautiful crisp images.Then I downloaded the Tiger app onto my iPhone and with a few tries entering user and password - bingo all the images came up on my iPhone. That could never happen with old mode DVRsl.I set notifications on in the iPhone Settings and I get pinged when motion is detected from only the camera and areas I have set in. Also can set detection strength and many other specific settings you prefer.I called and emailed Tiger to get some help and they actually answer the telephone and or call back from an email.I never thought using a DVR could be so incredible. Now I am on to catching the bad guys!

Eye of the Tiger!
After years of replacing security DVR's, I hit the review pages on the Internet and began the search for a replacement DVR. My last unit lasted less than a year. That said, I narrowed my search to a few units with high marks. Comping the final two contestants, the TIGERSECU Super HD 1080P 4 Channel DVR was the winner. After the DVR arrived, it was the usual change out proceedure. What was most impressive was the menu system which was head and shoulders above my previous models. The Tiger covers all camera models and provided clear clean image on all 4 channels. All features are simple to use, and friendly.The pre-installed 1TB hard drive is the only way to go. The extra price eliminates having to open the unit and add a drive, Tiger put it in and your ready to go. Hit format and your good to go. At this point let me highly recommend the Tiger. I received a nice email from Sandee at Tiger. They seem to be interested in your concerns. No need to contact TIGERSECU as the installation was flawless. Five units later, I am hoping this DVR will live up to it's recommendations. Time will tell. As of today it is a Five Star product. I will be back if I find any concerns. So far, so good!I have added this information to my review. The DVR is working flawlessly. I had a few issues with setting up the Tiger View app so I called Tiger and spoke with Sandee. She resolved the issue in a few minutes and the app is up and running. Tiger customer support is excellent and help is always available. There is no time limit or charges to consult with TIGERSECU. The 24 month warranty is a winner for backing up their products. I wish I knew this a few DVR'S ago. This is a true winner! After almost six months of non stop operation, the DVR is working flawlessly! I would like to commend Cathy at Tiger for her recent technical support assistance regarding the Tigersecu Viewer App. Cathy located the issue and resolved it in minutes, in addition to walking me through installing the app on my Windows 10 desktop. Customer Support is absolutely outstanding! I highly recommend Tigersecu products and especially the fantastic technical support. If you want to go with a winner, Tigersecu will not disappoint. Five Star Customer service*****!

There is no phone number to talk to a real Pearson
Not happy with this product. I have five cameras already installed changed out an older DVR. After powering the new DVR up and attaching the existing cameras all of them came on then they went off. After checking to make sure that they were connected four of them remained off except one. Went thru and rechecked everything was connected still have four cameras down. Probably will be sending this back, the only way to contact this company is thru E-Mail no phone to talk to somebody to get this system up and viewing.

Easy install AND amazing customer support!
If i could give this product six stars, I would. I disconnected my old DVR and connected tigersecu in under an hour. I had a little problem with the remote viewing set up but that was solved in a few minutes by a call to customer support. Sandee solved that in minutes and I then noticed an issue with the time and once again Sandee solved it quickly.I looked at so many DVRs before i purchased this one. Customer support was my most important issue as I had worse than none on the previous DVR, but I also have to say that ease of use with search, playback, zoom etc. are great. The instructions are very clear and once again, if you have a roadblock, the support is great!

Nice unit. Customer service is amazing
I purchased this to replace the original DVR that came with my Amcrest cameras. I had this unit for about five months and one of the video in ports on the back went bad. I tested it with a new cable and new camera and it was down for the count. I emailed the folks at Tigersecu and asked if it was still under warranty. It was and I returned it. There were a few back and forth emails between me and the Tigersecu staff. Their emails were prompt, friendly and helpful. I received a brand new unit with a follow up email within a few days of shipping the original one back. Unit works great. It's quite, easy to set up and compatible with my cameras.
