Buy it trust me.
After a few hours of use, it was a must do for my BRZ, bought the bezels to make it look flushed and took my time wiring, it sounds, works and plays wonderfully. Also it's peak retro if you like the early 2000's head unit with a remote, it's a flex on itself.

Love it
Originally bought an SjoyBring deck. The Radio was junk. Returned it and got this Pioneer. Reception is much better. Everything seems to work good so far. It was only 80 dollars more than the Sjoybring. Well worth the extra money. Quality is much better.

Good with some issues
After nearly 3 nears of ownership the radio is still mostly working. I have had some issues where it will infrequently freeze up or the bluetooth go crazy and people cant hear you on a call but these issues were resolved with turning the engine off then on. Overall its a great unit if you dont have a large dashboard and want to add some tech to your ride.

Works great / Bluetooth for maps etc
Works great. The sound is great and the screen easy to use. Bluetooth apps work seamlessly and the touch screen is sensitive …. as it should be

Apple CarPlay Works!
In a previous review I mentioned it does not work - it does - it just requires the cable. The system does not have Wireless CarPlay. Bluetooth is still kind of wonky but the cabled CarPlay works well. Raised the review up from 1 star to 5. Feel much better about the purchase now that I can use CarPlay.

Dont waste your money
Worked good for a few months then dies randomly. Doesnt matter if its sitting idle or actively playing music it black screens after 5-30min. I know its not a wiring issue because if youre plugged in for wired carplay/android auto it will still charge the phone. The black screen of death is a known pioneer issue. They never released updates for this model like they did the more expensive ones. Its faulty. They know its faulty. They wont address it. L pioneer

Very good
Works just like original Android auto systems, fast and responsive. It improved the audio quality in my vehicle, even radio station reception improved. (Note, connect "parking brake" cable to ground to bypass android auto lockout during driving)

Great double din
So far I like it alot you do have to plug in your phone to use the car play but beside that I love everything it offers for the price id recommend it.
