Beat IT! All Natural Deet-Free Insect Repellent (2 oz Travel Size)

I bought 2 oz. size for a trip to the tropics. My sister used to live in the U.S.V.I. and said this stuff really works. I gave a 4 star because I haven't used it yet. It arrived earlier than the projected date. The smell has a moderately strong overtone of Citronella.

This repellent is great! I took it with me on a month-long backpacking trip to Thailand and Cambodia. I was really hoping it would work, because using DEET scares me (although I brought some of that as well.) It did! I used it several times a day, just to be safe, even though it's supposed to last for 8 hours. The product rubs in and doesn't feel sticky, unlike a lot of the citronella sprays I used in Thailand. The smell isn't as strong either, which I liked.WARNING: I do NOT, for whatever reason, get "eaten alive" by mosquitos, as some of my friends do. If you have that type of skin, I'm not sure how well this will work. But if nothing else, buy the small bottle and try it! You'll be glad you did.

This insect repellent is wonderful! I was a little skeptical of "natural" repellents, but I didn't get bitten once on my trip to Thailand (and I was out a lot at sunset). One 2oz bottle lasted me about 7 days, but I applied it very liberally to my arms and legs.I didn't care for the smell (strong citronella), but I understand that the citronella is what makes it work - besides, it certainly does smell better than DEET-based repellents. And it's safe, too!I will definitely be purchasing this again when I return to SE Asia.

Took a couple of bottles to Thailand after reading about it in a travel article since I wanted an all-natural repellent. One of the bottles leaked on the journey over and made a little mess. The repellent didn't seem to give 100% coverage against jungle mosquitos so I had to opt for a DEET product.I think this product could work just fine in a less-extreme environment. The smell is pleasant - though I do like the strong citronella smells.

Smells nice and works for about 10 minutes. I had to keep reapplying this. Would be fine if you're not out in the woods and there aren't many bugs. Guess I'll have to go for a product with Deet.

It works very well, and I feel safe putting it on me and my dogs- I don't feel like I'm spraying poison all over us.
