So glad I took a chance on this!
Update: Well after 3 months with this, its getting to be too much to regenerate. Now it only lasts a day after regen. I don't blame the softener, it wasn't meant for this level of hard water. I still recommend as it does work, but again, for water that's not quite so hard.Original post: I live in a double wide trailer with, according to the maps showing hard water levels, the some of the hardest water in the states sitting around 39 gpg. I was dubious about living in a larger space than what this softener was meant for, but since it's only my dog and I, I went ahead and bought it. This little guy is surprising! I do have to regenerate it often because the water is just so impossibly hard here, but let me note I am not stingy with water, I clean a lot and like decently long showers :) I also have to buy bottled water to drink, this water is still not consumable. The softener is a bit heavy to turn on it's head to drain and lug around, but to get decently soft water, I really can't complain! I say decently soft because after regenerating it I seem to only be able to get it down to about 3 gpg, and that lasts for maybe a week. It's not ideal, but it's better than 39 gpg!

Works just like our home water softener
We have been very pleased with the results we've had with this water softener. It is easy to regenerate. We check the water quality about every 2 weeks to see how hard the water has become since the last regeneration. Once the hardness level is starting to spike up we follow the instructions to regenerate the water and we are back to soft water in no time.

Does the Job!
We've only used the softener twice so far but both times it worked like a charm. We camped at state parks in Michigan where the water can be on the hard side. You can also hook it up when you fill the tank for rustic camping to give you soft water in the tank or as we did on city. It uses plain old table salt which is inexpensive and easy to find. The construction and design are very well thought out. We bought the double which is too heavy for my wife to lug around and hook up so make sure you really need it, otherwise I would recommend the single. The only reason I am giving it four stars is because of the weight.

Absolute game changer when it comes to water quality on my RV
I cannot say enough good things about this. I don't have a water softener at my home but after buying a new RV I wanted to insure we had good water quality when traveling to different parks. Let me tell you. The difference is night and day. Before setting this up I thought the water where we were staying was good until I hooked this up. I would never not have one on my RV after using this one. The set up was a breeze and came with all the appropriate fittings and O rings. The provided tester was spot on when comparing it to other testers

Great purchase
Purchased this to use for pur seasonal camper. It was easy to set up. Easy to winterize. It really helped make the quality of the water coming through the faucets in the camper much better. Great price for the value
