So many pockets! I lost track of the number, but appreciate all of them. More than just 2 cargo pockets, and various sizes. Heavy duty Velcro fasteners. Nice long legs to just above the knees.

Ok first impressions, well made with a medium to light weight material. It has a stretch factor but not overly stretchy just enough to give you room to move. These feel well made built to last but only time will tell, great pockets and very comfortable. I like carthartt shirts and jackets but this is the first time getting shorts and I was not dissatisfied. I am a heavy dude and have a hard time finding things that fit me the way I want them and these fit correctly. I do strongly suggest to go a size bigger when ordering these. I usually wear a 42 but got these in 44 and they fit really good with just a small give. These are relaxed fit so you get room in the seat and leg area. These cost a little more than other brands but will last a little more than other brands.

This product is advertised as Carhartt's "Relaxed Fit" shorts. I like these shorts for the length, the pockets, and the fit. Well, the fit as it used to be. Apparently they're being made with less material these days as the fit is more snug than the (supposedly) same model shorts I bought four years ago. Not so much that I'll send them back but definitely different, and in the wrong direction.Another picky note: The belt loops on either side of the front closure are too far from the closure. If the belt buckle is centered the first loop to the left (looking down) is six inches away. You need an especially long belt for it to work, or you need to offset the belt buckle towards the loop. I'd prefer the loop be closer to the closure but no so dissatisfied to send them back.

Love the color, plenty of pockets, durable yet comfortable

Great construction, but these run smaller than expected. I ran the widget, comparing them to my Wranglers and, placed atop each other, the waist of these Carhardts is a good inch smaller than the Wranglers or my Redhead (Bass Pro) shorts. Order the next waist size (or two) up.

Great work shorts, a lot cooler than pants

Hubby seems to buy new cargo shorts every time he heads to a summer conference in the desert, so once every year or two. When it comes time to lay out what he's going to pack, the only shorts of his that we can find are his Carhartt's -- which means they're the only ones that survived the wear and tear from a hefty guy, or the only ones he's liked enough to wear repeatedly and keep track of! He loves the fit, the durability and feel of the fabric, and he says the pockets feel like they're in the right spot.This year I bought him three new pairs of Carhartt cargo shorts and no other brand. I'm willing to bet I won't have to buy any next year because these will still be in good shape, and at the top of the pile in his closet, ready for another day of hard use!

My husband is 6 foot 6 and these shorts are perfect because they do not look too short on his long legs. He prefers longer shorts and these fit perfectly. They are high quality have plenty of pockets loops etc for construction workers. They are terrific and wash up perfectly.
