This book makes excellent reading. It is a very good point of reference on our Catholic Faith and teaching. I have just begun to read it and it is going to take me some time, but I am finding it extremely interesting.

Sometimes, you want to know precisely what the Church says about a matter, in which case this is perfect. Sometimes, you don't want an overly personal, emotional or devotional approach, you want just the facts. It's necessarily dry and lofty language, which requires moistening and chewing on your own, but it's rich and potent. Of course, facts are incredibly boring in themselves, but if you re-form the complete picture, having the facts greatly enhances the whole picture, like how you can understand a living creature better once you've seen its bare skeleton
