I have been wanting this tool since I first found out about it last year. I was nervous about purchasing it because I hadn't seen it used in person and I had read bad reviews. But I finally took the plunge and bought it a little more than a week ago. I really love it! It works just as promised and is easy to use. I'm not sure why others are having trouble, but...I am right handed, I use the piercing mat, I used the tool on a table and I was sitting. I used the needle provided with the tool and I also used the thread made by We R Memory Keepers made for this purpose. If you've been thinking about buying this but aren't because of bad reviews, read some of the positive reviews too and THEN decide!

The first time I used it, and changed wheels it broke. Amazon replaced it imediately, but the quality is very poor, it's made of plastic and it's awkward to use steadily.

please don't let the other reviews deceive you...this is a great item! just make sure you also have the piercing mat or the piercer will not work correctly!!! there are videos available online that show you the correct way to hold the piercer and how to use it. i suggest watching these.i just received the sew easy stitch piercer and all the attachments, plus the piercing mat, for my birthday. i love this item! i did not purchase any of the sewing floss as i have a lot from previous crafting projects but the price seems fair. the needle that comes with the piercer is blunt because, when used correctly with the mat, the piercer does go through the paper meaning you do not have to poke holes with you needle...just stitch in the design you want (each head has about 3 different possible designs shown and you can surely make up your own. i kept the cardboard back to the attachments so i can see all the designs). i love this because i do not have room to keep my sewing machine out and dragging it out for my paper projects was a hassle. now i have all my sew easy stitch piercing items on my desk in a little set of 3 plastic drawers which keeps it all organized.i definitely recommend this item and all the accessories! :0)

I thought this would make some actual holds, but the fact is that this isn't thatshape or leaves that great of an indention… it's "floppy and loose" so pressingdown is troublesome. An old pattern scorer works easier.

Do not purchase this item, I just received it and tried to use but it wouldn't even pierce the paper, I pushed harder and it broke. I also purchased a couple other rollers, same thing happened. Break out the sewing machine. do not purchase this item!

I do love this easy to use piercer, but I cannot figure out how to remove the handle! I have a few other attachments for it and no matter what I do, I cannot get the handle out to use on the others. Nothing in the instructions about it either. I'm afraid to use my husband's brute force option because I'd hate for it to break altogether.

I wish it was sharper.

Here is another great, affordable product from WRMK. If you like to stitch your paper crafts, this is a neat rolling paper piercer. The heads are interchangeable so you can purchase and use other pierce patterns. I use this in conjunction with a standard piercing mat directly under the card stock. When I'm worried about assuring a flush or perpendicular line, I use the magnetic ruler and magnetic base off to one side. I realize this is a bit of a uni-tasker, but it doesn't take up much space and the handle also works for the self-inking sew stamper. For the right price this is worth it.
