Great value compact tabletop gaming terrain
I purchased the Outlands Core box set for around £50 to use as terrain for 9th edition 40k. The box contains thick sheets of cardboard with the terrain components already printed and ready to pop out and use, plus plastic clips to join together the components to make buildings/structures. The cardboard feels sturdy and decent quality, and the printed designs are fairly detailed. The pieces pop out easily with no tearing or rough edges, and assembly is relatively straightforward to figure out although instructions are not included. The kit has a tone of options for assembly, being fully modular to allow you to build the buildings in different configurations to suit your needs. Many pieces have windows or doors which can be popped out to create an opening, or left in place for closed shutters or doorways. All the pieces are double-sided to further customise the look of buildings and structures if wanted, and allow open walls and doors without showing bare cardboard. In addition to the square/oblong buildings that make up the bulk of the kit, there are also parts to build a watchtower and geodesic dome, which have grooves cut into them to allow the cardboard to bend around corners. There are also pieces to build small crates and furniture to further customise your battlefield. I haven't used it for a real game yet, but 9th ed 40k players should note that the square buildings will need to be at least two stories tall to count as obscuring ruins. Alternatively, you could add extra height to a single storey structure by placing the watchtower, dome or other structures on top. I believe the kit should build 3-4 obscuring ruins with a bit of thought, or you could make fewer larger buildings (or more smaller ones). If you don't mind the look of cardboard terrain on your tabletop, and I think this kit looks pretty good for what it is, then I'd say that £60 is excellent value for what you're getting here. Best of all, after use it packs neatly back into its box, which is a big advantage compared to plastic terrain which can't be disassembled for storage. I would certainly consider buying another kit, or even just doubling up on this one, to have a whole table's worth of modular compact terrain. With so many options for assembly it's a kit that should have a lot of longevity and allow for building fun an characterful tables.

Works for Necromunda!
Brilliant! I am using this for my Necromunda games and it seems to be working out great! Very very easy to set up and good build quality. It just needs to be looked after well as it is cardboard.

A little pricey to my mind but that said its high quality.
The small battle mat is high quality. The cardboard items are detailed and high quality. Lots of little plastic connectors that are just begging to get lost though so take good care of them. A little pricey I feel but with a little consideration and careful handling it will last a gamer a good long while.

Fantastic value
For less than 50 you have a out of the box play area for either skirmish or RPG gaming. One word of advice, take your time assembling the scenery, it's all labeled and self explanatory.
