The LInksys AC750 Boost Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range extender really works!
FULL DISCLOSURE - I was gifted this product, by Linksys, for this review! As usual this is just another Linksys product that does what it says it will do. It also does it quickly and easily. With the combination of the IOS app and the user manual I was able to try several locations in my 2 story home that yielded the most improvement in performance. Before we had several "blind spots", especially upstairs, in our wifi-burdened home. I counted a total of 18 wifi-required devices that now enjoy total freedom in browsing the internet etc. I believe the pricing to be reasonable and the product does not really stand out where it is installed due to it's "not-too-big" sizing when plugged in. I did NOT test the local GBe port on the unit although I have no reason to believe it would not perform as advertised. Thank you Linksys. Its great that your products seem to have worked their way back to a product that is easy to install, performs as advertised, and hits all the marks with regards to being able to provide enhanced network performance in a two-story- 3,200 sq. ft. home (two stories at that..!) Thank you Linksys

Super strong connection won't be disappointed!
This eliminated my dead spot upstairs, now upstairs if full covered. Setup was easy. I used a laptop to do it and found the perfect spot to place the extender via the site. Make sure you setup up right next to your router at first. Once setup and conttection is good unplug it an move to a different place in your house, connect to it then go to the webiste to ensure it is in the sweet spot via the meter. Then walk away an enjoy the speed. It restored our Youtube TV in the deadspot.

Works great, but you must disable MAC Address filtering on your router.
This extender is solidly built and the instructions are good. The extender works well; I get a strong signal two floors in my home away from my router. One issue is that the extender will not currently work if your router has MAC Address filtering enabled. The extender's administration page will show that it is not connected to the router, and you will not get a solid green operational light on the extender. I've been on the phone with Linksys technical support, and they've confirmed this is a problem. They claim to be coming out with a firmware upgrade soon to fix it. There is also supposedly a work-around for the time-being ... you'll need to call them to get the information, I don't have it as I chose to disable MAC Address filtering and just use a stronger WPA2 password.

Set up instructions are terrible and Linksys support is worse
Setting up the extender was a nightmare. Not so much of the difficulty, once you figure it out it's straight forward, but the Quick setup booklet provided is terrible. Then you call Linksys support and the person I spoke with knew less than I did. Bottom line, she was useless. On my second call to Linksys, I got lucky, I got a tech agent that was very helpful, although repetitive, but we finally got the extender working. So far the extender is working well and it has eliminated the dead spots. Let me provide you with a synopsis of the instructions and save you some trouble: 1) Plug extender to an outlet CLOSE to the modem/router (NOT MIDWAY BETWEEN ROUTER AND AREA WITHOUT WIFI, if you do it will not find router/modem). 2) Wait for the orange flashing light on front. 3) Connect to the Linksys Extender Setup signal. 4) Open web browser. 5) type http://extender.linksys.com in the address bar. follow the instructions provided. (IF THE EXTENDER DOES NOT FIND THE NETWORK. LEAVE EXTENDER PLUGGED IN AND REBOOT THE MODEM/ROUTER. It will find the correct network after the router boots up .6) Reconnect the extender to a wall outlet midway between the router/moden and the dead spot. The extender will log onto the network and you're ready to go. 80% Of these instructions are not provided in the Quick start booklet. Regarding Linksys support, they are not easy to understand, but enough to be able to follow the instructions as you go along. Like I said before, the second person I spoke with was very helpful and provided the aforementioned instructions. The first person I spoke with was clueless as to what to do. I should have gotten a clue when the first thing she said was that the extender was out of warranty, then it rapidly went downhill from there. I eventually just ended the phone call and called Linksys again. If you have to call Linksys, GOOD LUCK with the Tech person you get. Update on review: Downgraded to ONE star because it constantly disconnects from modem. Useless for what I need.

Works, but a pain to set up
It was a pain to set up. Had to try multiple times to get anything to happen. Then it was like pulling teeth getting to the setup screen after it finally started communicating with my base wifi router station. Typed in what the instructions said ... nothing. Rinse - repeat. It's a shame they can figure out how to make these things user friendly. Good grief. If you can make it thru the frustration, and finally get it to work, location of your wifi repeater is critical. Too far from base station will cause your repeated signal to drop out. Don't give up, just move it a little closer to base station and try again. Believe it or not, it will actually work.

works as advertised
I now have a robust wifi signal about 50 plus feet away from my "ham shack", through 4 walls. It was fairly easy to connect, but it kept disconnecting. An easy, quick chat with tech support, and a firmware update, and all is good now. I used the "WPS" button on the extender and the router, that was a quick way to get the router and extender to shake hands and play nice with each other. A very inexpensive and elegant solution to fix dead spots around your house or office. Recommend, and especially if you need any tech support. Once set up, you can move the extender around to different outlets to get the best "sweet spot" for receiving the router signal, and then re-transmitting to the desired space.
