I got this for winterwear and, as expected, it's a well-made cap. Good lining to it and the material is thick enough to keep out the cold. No loose threads and nice, neat stitching. I've applied Proofide to the leather peak to provide protection from the rain (I had the Proofide for my Brooks leather bike saddle, so I didn't buy it in especially). The tweed is pretty good at keeping water at bay, but I don't think it's completely waterproof, more water resistant, but very water resistant for a good long while, so it would have to rain for a quite a long time or very heavily before the cap would soak up enough water for you to feel it. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and this is well worth the money. I don't expect to wear this during warm weather as it really acts as an insulator for the head and is a top quality product.

As I have a large (not big) head I am sometimes dubious about buying hats online but this one fits perfectly, is very well made with excellent materials and looks good, it has so far kept the rain off, it is a bit pricey but is worth it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product.
