I made sure in the seller's description that my Mac Book Pro model number match to the product model number they listed as ideal canidate before purchasing. I originally had order a keyboard silicone cover in a wood grain look from another company. I made close attention to whether they said the details were with or without retina display for my laptop details. But the wood grain keyboard cover from a different company did not lay flat, so it was nice that I had a back up silicone cover that came with the set. As I said prior, this keyboard cover that came with this hard cover fits incredible flat, fits like a glove and you would never know that it was a cover! Getting use to the different feel of the keyboard is an adjustment but knowing that my computer is now more safely protected form "accidents" makes me feel more at ease and a good trade off.FOLLOW UP TO MY February 13, 2017 POSTING;I'm uploading some pictures after 5 months of use. Keyboard cover, I'm still happy with, holding up well. Elephant picture still is looking sharp. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very high quality image, strong bottom *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2018* The case was wrapped extremely well with hard bubbles, plastic wrap, and spacers to prevent damage. The case itself seems flawless. It does have a strong ink smell for about 2 weeks.The Apple logo will shine clearly through the case, but I chose to tape black construction paper under the lid so it does not take away from the image. It does feel like the ink might scratch easily, so you may want to be careful or add a clear protector on top of the Ink. I also noticed that finger prints can easily stick, but they are generally not noticeable unless you look for them.The bottom feels very smooth and decently strong. It will not cut into your wrists because the tops are smooth. There are no sharp corners and there is room for the hinge to open. All sides are protected, except for the back when it is closed.It came with black rubber port covers which I use for unused ports. The black keyboard cover I decided not to use because it slows my typing ability about 40% (I type 60-80 wpm without it). You need perfect typing skills for it to make little difference (I type all over, not how programs teach you to). I do like the texture and screen protection of the keyboard cover, so maybe I’ll try again. Also note that with excessive heat, the cover will eventually warp because it is a thin plastic (this is true for all keyboard covers). It fits great, but it may block the LED lights under your keys.I have had the case about 2 weeks and put it in/out of my backpack. No heat issues, no cracks, but there is dirt and dust collecting inside the bottom and sides. So it’s a good idea to clean it out to prevent dust damage every so often.Overall if you love the image, you’ll have no regrets! 😊 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fits Perfectly! It is ideal for preventing scratches and damage from bumps, but I don’t think it would protect the laptop from being stepped on or dropped from more than 3 feet. The keyboard cover that is included lines up perfectly with the keys and I think makes typing less annoying. I was regretting buying this laptop after regular use because the keys are so shallow and I missed the actual compression of a button. This cover gives just enough dimension (while still allowing the laptop to close) to make me enjoy typing again. The dust plugs are king of useless as the aren’t attached to anything and tend to fall out when being put in and taken out of a bag/case. Since they are so small, I think it is just a matter of time before I lose them. These may be more ideal if you aren’t transporting your laptop regularly and it is setting on a desk somewhere it might collect dust.
