I'm sure he'd love it but I opted to send it back since there is a second edition of it out. Admittedly, on this books listing it does show there is a newer version of this product available - which I didn't notice. Strangely enough, desertcart buries the second edition version if you search for minecraft under books. Maybe a way to help move old inventory since the newer version of this book notice is easy to miss. Had the second edition of the book not been a part of the black friday special today, I wouldn't have known it even existed. So I ordered that one and this one will be going back. Review: As a learning to play parent, this book has amplified my confidence 10 fold! - As a parent trying to play with my son, a game I find difficult ("It's so easy, Mom!") this book has helped already. The Kindle books I own are fine, but to have an actual book in my hand makes it so much easier look things up while playing.
