Q: Is the ladder constructed of 316 stainless steel or another grade?

This ladder constructed of 304 stainless steel, use on most of the US brand name high speed boats, OEM quality. We only construct 316 Stainless Steel for EU boat makers.

Q: I have a tube around the boarder of my platform. It sticks down about 1.5". Is the flange long enough to allow this to work, or do I need standoffs?

yes, base on your platform description, the ladder will be installed behind(set back) the tube, and the ladder flange should be aligned with the edge of your platform. It's about 4-1/4" height (from the mounting plate to the ladder rail) , so it should be plenty of space for you to activate the button and lock the ladder.

Q: What is the weight capacity?

We have had up to 220 lbs on this ladder with no issues. It installs perfectly and works great. We are completely satisfied with this product.

Q: How far down will this protrude from my swim platform?

There is an 1-1/2" extra drop down for Platform Edge Clearance.

Good find!

Love having a button to let down the ladder instead if it hanging down and snapped back. Works well. Only thing is that it did not come with any hardware but we figured it was because there is no standard size.
