Lasted over 2 years with heavy use
I’m very happy with this little neck heating pad. I’ve had severe neck pain the last few years and this was the perfect size & temp. It’s actually small enough to use on any targeted areas without making me too hot overall. I just fold it inside out so the Velcro is on the inside and it lays flat. It always got plenty hot, while having lower temp options if you need it. You can use it with a power bank because it’s a usb, and it has an auto shut off for if (when) I accidentally fall asleep with it. After 2 years of consistent (sweaty🤢) nightly use on high, sometimes even restarting it several times after its auto shut off, I’m sad to say it’s finally given out. I will absolutely be looking to purchase a replacement in the near future. I took the liberty of opening it up to see if there was any obvious malfunction, but I found nothing wrong. No burn spots, no broken wires, it just simply won’t heat up anymore. I am going to put some pics here so you can see how the heat is actually supplied, in case you’re curious like me. It’s quite well made, especially compared to others I’ve bought for the same price or higher. The wires (heating element) are stitched in securely throughout the entire heating pad with several layers of insulation to evenly distribute & hold the heat, as well as protect you from getting burned. I’m quite impressed with this little beasty. PSA-Do not try this at home. I only did because it was already spent and headed for the trash. Do not cut, break, or breach any kind of electronics or heating elements, especially if they are still in use, unless you know what you’re doing or have little regard for your well being. At your own risk and all that. Anyway… hope this is helpful!

Does what is expected
Works well and helps relax muscles. Neck and shoulders are difficult areas to reach well so do not expect it to help with shoulders

Works well as far as heat goes, but....
First of all, this is a great idea. Puts the heat right where I need it when my neck acts up. There is a downside, though. I can only use it if I am not going to be moving much. Turning in a chair is fine, but forget about standing up and going to the kitchen. The problem is the straps. If I have them tight enough that the wrap stays in place when I don't stay in place, they feel like they are choking me. To be clear, I have never liked anything around my throat - turtlenecks, even t-shirts with too small a neck hole - no thank you. So part of this is me, but part of it is the product. Maybe there could be some redesign of the straps to allow this to be securely wrapped in place without making those of us sensitive to the sensation feel like we are being choked. I knocked off one star for that. Otherwise, it works as advertised and really helps with those 'stiff neck' times.

With heavy use expect it to last around a year.
I just purchased my 3rd of these. They work great and are fairly cheap, but if you wear them 8-12 hours a day expect to only get a year or so out of each one. If you have neck problems they are great to have and since they use a USB cord it is easy to use even when driving. However, the first one when it died got super hot and mildly burned me. The 2nd that failed simply stopped working. All in all I plan to keep using them. Wish they lasted longer though.

Bought for a friend who is a...err, "has a" pain in the neck.
This is a simple but effective little device that is sure to give some relief to the person I bought it for. My friend rolled her car last winter and her neck has been bothering her ever since. Heat and cold packs give her some relief but a microwaved rice bag doesnt stay warm long enough for her. This heat wrap should really make a difference for her. It will stay warm for as long as she wants it to. Since I cant deliver this to her until next week, I tried it on myself(see my video if you like). It heats up pretty fast and has 3 heat settings. The hottest setting is pretty warm so medium would be fine for me. It also fits comfortably snug on the neck using velcro fasteners. Theres a pocket on the inside rear of the pad for a gel pack but you have to buy the gel pack separately. It's very soft and you can plug it into any smart phone charger or other 5v USB power source(like your computer or laptop). My friend doesnt do computers so I also bought her a 10000mah 5v power pack to go with this neck warmer. That way she can use the neck warmer wherever she goes-even driving a car or going out to eat or whatever. Yeah, so I very much recommend this neck warmer pad. After trying it on myself, I'm almost tempted to get one too. I can only imagine how nice this pad would feel using it while Ice fishing or snow blowing the driveway when cold weather hits again. I think that's how I'd use it lol! Again, see my video if you like.

Really wanted this to work . . .
I use a microwave heated neck herbal bag every night. I was looking for something that I could use without a microwave when traveling. Was hopeful for this item. Unfortunately, the unit that I received didn’t heat past barely detectable even on high. Returned.

Fantastic and CAN BE portable!
This thing has been such a helper to me the past month. I have a pinched nerve currently in my neck/shoulder area that has been the worst pain since labor pains (no lie). I have been doing a lot of literal groaning with every step. I recruited this neck warming device and paired it up with a 10,000 mah battery pack since it plugs in with a USB. Then all I need to do is tuck the battery pack in my pocket and then I can move around with this neck warmer on. The neck warmer fabric feels very soft around the neck and has a velcro closure at the front right under the chin area, but does not come up too high that it's scratchy. **UPDATE!! 3 Days ago I had surgery on my neck. Anterior Cervical Fusion Disk Replacement & Fusion of C5-6 and C6-7. Both disks were found badly ruptured and material was being pushed into my spinal cord causing the AWFUL PAIN. A week ago I was wearing this heated neck wrap while just laying in bed (cause it hurts to basically breathe these days) and when I got up to go into the bathroom I noticed I had red marks on the front of my neck. I thought it was weird and kinda ran my fingers over the marks but the time passed. Later that night the one red mark was a bit larger (pencil eraser size) and remained. Upon closer inspection it was more easily detected in the bathroom light that I indeed had a water blister that had formed! So people this sucker gets much more hot than I ever recognized! And the fact that I was lying so still and the wrap had not shifted on my skin at all allowed for it to burn my skin. I would/will use this item again but just be more cognizant of this issue. It was just something I had to alert the surgical team to as when you go in for surgery you need to disclose ANY "open" wounds. This has pretty much healed prior to my procedure and is now covered by a large bandage and Tegaderm since they cut my throat right at the area where the burn is/was.

Great for travel.
I loved this tiny heating pad for other uses. I did not like it on my neck it’s too wide and I don’t like the feeling when it’s around my neck but it may just be me. However, it was perfect to pack in my carry on for a 10 hour flight and for use in hotels on a 14 day trip. When pulling and carrying luggage my wrist often hurts along with a bad knee I thought it would wrap around my knee nicely and it did. It also wrapped around my wrist very well and felt great on the sore joints. But what I didn’t plan for is my lower back was killing me a short time into the flight. I plugged it into the USB port at my seat and tucked it into the waist of my pants and it heated right were I needed it. It’s tiny, easy to pack and heats pretty well and for the price it was great. I was very pleased I had it on my trip. I highly recommend.
