The case is an anal-retentive's dream. I think putting the pencils into the case in numerical order was more satisfying than coloring in my Outlander coloring book the first time.One more snap on the strap so that the whole thing is secured when rolled, would have made it perfection. A double sided female snap? Do they make those? Eh, if I get really obsessed I'll just put a Velcro tab on the dangly bit.It's canvas with faux-leather trim. The trim is also used to protect the sharpened ends of the pencils. Nice touch.The pencils are varied enough to keep it interesting, with colored ends for ease of selection. I haven't put the pencils thru their paces yet, but I can already tell they're going to be easier to use than the hard, unforgiving, next to impossible to properly shade Crayolas I'm used to.This is a welcome upgrade to my beloved cigar box.

I bought this primarily because of the variety of colors that come in the collection and the fact that the pencils are protected in a carrying case. Only one tip of the pencils was broken when I received it in the mail. Could have been packaged better, but not that big of a deal since only one broke. I was a little surprised that there are a lot of variety of a few colors. There are a ton of different greens, oranges, and browns. I would have liked more pinks, reds, purples, and blues. I guess you have to get the bigger set to get more of the prettier colors. They work great, however, and really glide over the page well. In all, I'm very happy with the purchase.

I really enjoy the adult coloring books and these colored pencils are very good. They color evenly with little pressure on my hands. They blend well as I like to blend and shade when I color. I haven't tried to sharpen any of them yet since I just got them and I'm hoping they are easy to sharpen. I also love the handy roll up case. It rolls up easily and holds 48 colored pencils plus it has one place to put my blending pencil. It will be better to hold my colored pencils than the plastic box I have been using. This holder also can fit any pencils. I would recommend these colored pencils and the holder to anyone who is into adult coloring.

A lot of the colors are too similar to really notice any difference - especially with the purples, greens, reds, and blues. Ok, so that's just about every color. Don't get me wrong, I like the option of having a variety of shades, it's just that they're so subtle, you could probably get rid of half of the pencils in this kit and still achieve the same end result using what you've got left. I mean, think back to the days of those big 72-crayon Crayola boxes, you know, the ones with the built-in sharpeners? Now THAT was variety.

I bought this so I could have a little more variety than the 12 pack of Crayola pencils that my daughter uses.I love this case although I agree that it seems like it needs an extra snap to hold the extra strap when it's fully rolled.The pencils seem to be good quality and I love the variety of shades. I haven't tried sharpening any yet to see if they break like some of the other reviews have mentioned.Unlike many reviewers, I paid the regular price instead of getting a discount on this and I'm quite satisfied with my purchase.

I love this every pencil fit and it rolled up nice and tight I bought this so I could use it with my creativity bible.. it does not smear or bleed through and my pages in the bible are pretty thin (thinner than normal for a creative bible) FITS in my purse very nicely (I find my boys taking it b/c they love how the colors are vibrant they say its better than their color pencils for school).

Ordered for my daughter for a gift. She loved them! Also loved the bag they came in. They work wonderfully. She likes to color in the adult coloring books and she said these are way better than the ones she was using before. They have a nice rich color and they are smooth gliding to use. She has already requested that when these are used up a new set to replace. She is happy so I am happy.

Colors beautifully. A few were broken when received, no biggie. They're not named and the numbers seem to have zero meaning in getting them sorted. The holder is awesome, but wish it came with directions as dumb as it may seem, buttons are weirdly located. Overall I do very much like and would recommend to a friend.
