While this is most definitely a terrific product to have if you are a survivalist or something like that it's just as good if you just want to have a pop of fruit any time of year, any weather, or on days you can't get out to the grocery store but need a last-minute fruity ingredient for salads, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, smoothies, cakes.... It's also really yummy to snack on right out of the can, as is. Would be useful for hiking, school lunches, camping or road trips.When you open the can, your senses will be BLISSED OUT with these beautifully colored berries and the aroma of tangy sweet summer raspberries.We have never purchased freeze dried canned products before, and this was a completely new experience. There are desiccant packs to keep the contents fresh and dry. The fruit settles in the can so there is room at the top. You do get a lot and it is a good value for the price. The product is as lovely and flavorful as we had hoped it would be.We pureed some of the dried raspberries in a food processor then whipped up some whip cream and blended them in. Then we added coconut slices and walnuts for a quality ingredient fruit salad with no added sugar. It was not a recipe but an inspired experiment that worked out well. We have a million more ideas to try and will definitely be back to purchase more Augason Farms freeze dried berries!We purchased the set that came with one can of strawberries and one can of raspberries because purchasing them together offered a ten-dollar discount.These are as nice as you hope they will be and are way more cost effective than buying the individual packets, if you can even find individual packets of freeze-dried berries in your local grocery store. I couldn't. That's why we ordered these. Glad we did!

Good quality, whole berries, from smell to taste, these are ideal for baking off season, or long term storage.

Great, vibrant taste. A few moldy berries but pretty easy to pick out.I powdered the berries and sifted to remove the seeds for raspberry pudding and you can see there’s a fair amount of seeds in 1/4 cup raspberries.

First, to address the almost 'empty' can comments, it clearly states 8oz. You have 8oz of product in the can. My complaint, however, is the amount of settled seeds and dust that is included in the 8oz. I would never buy the raspberries at advertised price. I had this same issue with both cans I ordered. Do not expect them to rehydrate to the texture of a regular raspberry. They are more mushy. Flavor was a bit more tart than sweet as I would expect red raspberry, but very flavorful. These worked well for my purpose of making extract and the whole intact berries were nice added to my bowl of cereal if eaten immediately. I have not tried them in baking applications, yet.

I’ve purchased many brands of freeze dried raspberries. These are by far the most delicious! They are sweet not tart like others and very flavorful! Not to mention their shelf is like 30 years!

I used these in homemade granola and they are the perfect amount of tart and sweet. The texture was great and there were plenty of whole raspberries as well as the crumbs. Be warned, if you open them, you'll need to use them as they will absorb moisture from the air.
