Permatex Windshield Repair Kit

Item is fine. It's an one shot deal of repair. However may just need to buy extra glue and sticky holder only if need to repair more than on situation on window. However used this product before a d does work and the price is an well buy.

GARBAGE. This stuff is a total gimmick. It works only one very small dings. Do not waste your time or money if you think think will hide or fix a crack in your glass winshield. The guys from Safelite got a great laugh when I told them I actually tried this first. Just cost me money I really couldn''t afford to waste, live and learn, I hope you're smart enough to pay attention to this review, if not, then I told you so!

Easy to follow instructions. Was able to fill a small crack on my windshield within an hour. Most of that hour was waiting for the resin to cure. Works faster on a sunny day. On a cloudy day, instructions say to leave it curing for over an hour. Overall super simple process. Can't even see the crack on my windshield anymore. Would definitely purchase this again if needed.

I've used three of these. First one was a near perfect repair and chip was practically invisible, I bought two more. Second was not as good as the first, but still acceptable, third was not very good and chip was still very visible, but smooth to the touch. On my second repair, the adhesive gave away and the resin leaked out during the "high pressure" procedure. Also, there's just enough resin for one repair, wish they increased the resin just a bit more (maybe 1ml, vs .75ml). Also, it's difficult to tell how much resin is in the pedestal and you tend to overfill it, it would be nice if the pedestal was a clear plastic piece, instead of the solid gray. But the syringe fits perfectly to pedestal and doesn't leak air when changing pressures. Overall, good DIY kit.

After being chip free for 7 years, I got a chip. Tried the other kit but ended up cracking the windshield worse. This is the only kit I will. I have used a dozen or so over the years and always satisfied with the results. simple to follow instructions on proper usage.

Easiest repair kit of the handful I have used. Successful patching of 4 bullseye smacks in my truck windows (much driving on gravel roads), with one going on 5 years, and none of them spreading cracks.The patches are visible, if you know where to look, but not on casual examination and stabilize the glass well.

This was the same kit as the $13 one but this was $5 idk if it was old or what but the adhesive didn’t hold

Does the job, I keep a few of these ready to go (don't let cracks sit) at all times. Easy to use, take your time. Window tip: if you can't repair your crack immediately put a piece of packing tape over the crack (dry) and it will prevent spreading. Not to mention cost savings versus professional repair or windshield replacement.
