REFUTING DARWINIAN MYTHS OF HUMAN ORIGINS!
In Science and Human Origins , the Authors Ann Gauger, Douglas Axe and Casey Luskin have done an excellent job in presenting sufficient scientific evidence to disprove the evolutionary myths relating to human descent from some Common Ancestor. Reading the scientific evidence presented in the book, one will be left wondering as to why the Atheistic and Theistic Evolutionists keep on holding to evolutionary myths and propagate the same with an extreme degree of religious fanaticism. In the process, they only prove that the so-called Darwinian and Neo- Darwinian theories of Evolution are nothing but fables presented as true science but which are accepted by blind irrational faith. Without a shadow of doubt, any one reading this book without bias will conclude Darwinian explanations of human descent are not based on any irrefutable and unchallengeable scientific evidence. It is, therefore, hoped that those who find access to Science and Human Origins will take the time to read the same with a mind free from bias, and face the challenges presented therein. As narrated by John G. West, Ph. D in his Inroduction to the book, "In chapters 1 and 2, Ann Gauger and Douglas Axe challenge the central claim that Darwin's undirected mechanism of natural selection is really capable of building a human being. In Chapters 1, 3 and 4, Ann Gauger and Casey Luskin critically assess the genetic and fossil evidence that human beings share a common ancestor with apes. And in the final Chapter, Ann Gauger refutes scientific claims that the human race could not have started from an original couple." Unbiased Atheistic Evolutionists and philosophers, in general, and devout Theistic Evolutionists, in particular, will do themselves a favor in accepting the challenges presented in Science and Human Origins and refute the material therein that disproves the so-called human descent from some mythical common ancestor.Common sense guided by observation of complex life forms around us should have been sufficient to tell us the impossibility of the evolution of all living organisms in general, and human descent with `amazing powers of abstraction', in particular, from some mysterious Common Ancestor. Please read BIBLICAL CREATION TRUTH wherein the atheistic theory of evolution is debunked in a simple, non-academic lay man's language. Nevertheless, those indoctrinated with Darwinian Evolution myths are highly biased in that they cannot clearly see the fallacy of Darwinian evolution in which they firmly believe, and preach it with religious blind faith, in spite of the lack of evidence, as if it is true science. Undoubtedly, Darwinian Evolution has become a sacrosanct religion wearing the garb of science and is next making its presence felt in educational institutions where its tenets are dumped upon innocent minds to be accepted without questioning.Obviously, the evidence presented in Science and Human Origins will not find its way in the schools and educational institutions of higher learning. Because, those who oppose Darwinian teaching as unscientific are looked upon as heretics thereby proving that the Darwinian Theory of Evolution and its modern dialects are propagated with a religious zeal reminiscent of the dark Middle Ages. Anyway, as convincingly suggested by Dr. John G. West, "Whether you consider yourself secular, religious, or something in between, the science of human origins raises deep and continuing questions about what it means to be human. You are invited to explore some of these questions in the pages of Science and Human Origins . Biased Darwinists beware, and avoid indulging in unjust "Condemnation of Creationists before Investigation" of the scientific facts that disprove the evolutionary myth of human descent from hominids, and uphold human descent from a single original biblical couple - Adam and Eve - created directly by God, the Creator, without any recourse to evolutionary processes through millions of years!

A Scientific Approach to the Theiry of Evolution
In the debate over human origins, it's difficult to succinct works that are able to take complex scientific problems and reduce them to understandable dimensions. Science and Human Origins is one such work; anyone interested in the problems of human origins should read this book. The book is arranged in five short chapters, four of which cover specific problems in the just-so stories evolutionists construct to defend evolution as the origin of everything, and one chapter defending Creationism against a charge often made by evolutionists against creation. The endnotes are almost as long as the chapters themselves, making bibliodiving a pleasure for those so inclined. The first chapter discusses the problem of the required number of changes to get from one form of a simple protein to another. The two forms are similar in shape, but perform different functions. To move from one form to another would require 7 changes, which the author estimates to require 10^27 years. To say this is the next best thing to impossible would be an understatement. The second chapter discusses the problem of optimal adaptation and false peaks. The example Dr. Axe uses is building a device that is programmed to find the highest peak, can only see in a radius of around 12 inches, and then setting it loose at the base of a mountain. The robot is going to find the nearest rock within 12 inches, climb on top, and stay there. For adaptation to modify a single organism, it must climb many small hills while always searching for a higher peak, something the time horizon of adaptation simply doesn't allow. The third chapter reviews the fossil record for hominids, coming to the conclusion that there simply isn't solid evidence of apes evolving into men; the two begin, end, and remain two separate species throughout the fossil record. Of great use is the careful coverage of each available fossil, issues with the fossil in question, what the fossil is claimed to show, and then a review of why that particular fossil cannot support the claims made.So-called "Junk" DNA is covered in the fourth chapter. Long a staple of the creation debate, evolutionists claim that God would never have created all these various creatures with repeating sequences of DNA that serve no purpose. The authors note this is a theological problem before it is a scientific one, but they delve into the background of junk DNA anyway, showing it is a myth. The theological problem the authors mention, for those who are interested, is that we have no way to legitimately claim that God would not use repeating strings what of appears to us to be junk unless we know the mind of God --but to know the mind of God, we must know there is a God, and the claim of evolution is that there is no God to know. A second problem the authors do not attend to is that according to Christianity, this is a fallen, rather than perfect, world. Any "junk" in our DNA could have been used for something at some point, but it has simply lost its purpose as our internal information structures have degraded over time. The final chapter deals with the problem of genetic variability and Adam and Eve; is it possible for a single pair of parents to generate the human diversity we see today. The author's answer is a resounding yes, as shown through various experimental data and logical chains of reasoning.Well worth reading.==Additional NotesIf you read through the comments to this review, you will notice that those who hate this book have little to offer except name calling and logical fallacies. For instance, one commenter argues that I must produce evidence that evolution is not true (proving the negative), another refuses to even type "The Discovery Institute," another argues that everyone who wants to read and think for themselves are "gullible," and "ignorant," (ad hominim attacks), another that "all scientist believe evolution is true," (false appeal to authority), and another that those who don't believe in evolution must produce solid evidence of the existence of Adam and Eve (confusing science with history).Every argument in this book isn't perfect --science is always changing, and producing new evidence to consider. Some of the other reviewers of this book have made some solid points, but don't leave it at the reviews, go and find out how the authors respond to those points. But those with a religious devotion to evolutionary theory cannot tolerate dissent, or even honest discussion, so they come here to Amazon and post negative comments on any review that's positive towards any book they find challenges their beliefs. All I can say is this: Ignore the gang-up of people who hate this book and have nothing better to do than sit around all day attacking reviews they don't like. Read the book, read the back and forth between Biologos and Discovery for yourself, and make up your own mind.

A single pair is possible
The authors show that a single pair of humans as the origin of the human race is possible. It has not been ruled out.

A surprisingly helpful (but slim) volume
Let's get the criticisms out of the way first. This is a slim volume at 122 pages including endnotes, which is a good thing. It currently costs a smidgeon short of a tenner, which is not so good.Neo-darwinian texts which deal with the topic of origins, aimed at the public, tend to make big-picture assertions, in order to (a) make the overarching narrative more believable, and (b) gloss over the critically strategic gaps in the science so that the reader doesn't once suspect how flimsy the whole house of cards actually is. Thus we get all those beautifully-illustrated reconstructions of 'Lucy', for example, to help us imagine ourselves related to such putative hominid ancestors. Lucy looks cute, we're told in no uncertain terms how closely we're related, and that's that. The sheer paucity of evidence underpinning those detailed illustrations is left to one side in the hope that the public will simply buy the line they're being sold. A more contemporary trend is for us, the poor ignorant non-specialists, to repose all our faith in individuals like Richard Dawkins, as we simply could not understand it on our own, poor dears, and we just need to trust the experts to interpret reality for us. And, of course, for Dawkins, reality simply isn't what it seems. If things look designed, then that's just plain misleading - and none of us will ever have the confidence again to draw our own informed conclusions. Better simply to trust the high priests of the new materialism. What Gauger, Axe and Luskin do quite successfully here is take the big-picture themes, and then peel back the layers to expose what lies beneath. They bring good science to the table, and indeed in a compendious fashion demonstrate the sheer conflict of opinion that exists, despite the confident pronouncements of the darwinian lobby. Clearly, the book is not aimed at scientists, although it does provide a useful resume of our current understanding of such evolutionary canards as 'junk DNA'. Both Gauger and Axe are hands-on scientists working directly on DNA and proteins, the building blocks of life - so when they tell us that 'Darwin's engine' is not up to the job in terms of innovation, and the undirected evolution of biocomplexity, then it seems reasonable to listen to them. There is quite a lengthy discussion of paleobiology, in relation to human origins, and I suppose it is fair to point out that none of the authors are paleontologists, but what does come across loud and clear from this treatment is their encyclopaedic grasp of the scientific literature and the divergent views of the fossil data which do not support the neo-darwinian 'common descent' model for human origins.Overall, a well-written book, and a helpful, up to date contribution to the debate. I suspect it is more likely to be actually read and critiqued by people who have actually read it, than Stephen Meyer's excellent Signature in the Cell: DNA and the Evidence for Intelligent Design. It seemed as if most negative reviews of that book were by people who had actually never opened it, but thought they knew what it was going to say. And, always the sign of a good read, as I got to the last page, I found myself wanting more.

Evolution?
This little book shows how the spontaneous appearance of life on Earth and it's supposed evolution is quite literally impossible. It reveals the sketchy fossil evidence linking apes to humans and that intelligent design is the only explanation for life as we know it.
