This was an incredible bag for me to take to the gym. I received this to provide an honest and unbiased review and thought it would be great for weekend trips as well. So, first thing, there is plenty of storage, much more than I thought....and I know this because before I could what happened, my daughter already had her book bag empty and transferred everything into this Gecko Active bag....including her laptop! The padding is great and protective. The stitching is excellent, and high quality. I got the green and should note that it looks even better in person. It is very comfortable when it is on your back, even with a load of books and a laptop. The only bummer is that my daughter is now using it as a book bag! :)So, if you (or your child) are looking for a cool and functional yoga, gym (or even book)-bag, look no further. This bag seems to be built to last. I (we) love it!

Pros: Bag looks good with or without my yoga mat. Water resistant, and the two smaller pockets on the front are good for keys and other personal items. I like that it came with a waterproof mat sleeve, so I could carry it around in all weather. Pretty comfortable, although I had trouble getting the weight distribution right with my mat attached.Cons: I really wanted to give a higher rating since the bag is just what I was looking for, but I don't think the quality is very good. After 6 months the seam on the shoulder strap split, exposing the foam interior. More importantly, the bottom mat strap completely separated from the bag, so now it's useless for carrying a mat. I personally would prefer a slightly larger main pocket so I could fit gym shoes in addition to yoga clothes and towel.

This product seems really thoughtfully made, and I appreciate the small company's proactive outreach.The two ways it could be better for me:- it says that the straps can hold yoga mats up to 7 lbs; I have a Manduka Pro (7 lbs exactly, per Amazon) and it _can_ hold it, yes. But only if I (I'm 6'2", with martial arts/yoga hands) remember to wrap the mat tight, and pull the catch straps so hard that I'm worried they will, at some point, break. A little more length in these straps would be a huge improvement.- The zipper for one of the front pouches (the biggest front pouch) (a) is a single zipper and (b) in the closed position, rests by the yoga mat. This means that, when my mat's in, it's hard to get at this zipper. Even having two zippers on this pouch -- so that its base position could be set to the other side -- would be great.These are constructive criticisms, as it were, since I get the impression that this company cares. This bag has replaced my strap-and-bag previous solution ,and I use it while biking -- as long as I'm careful to place the mat centrally in the straps, it's all good. It's sturdy, secure, and has a satisfying and useful set of pouches for all the little stuff you might have; I like the small, flat but full-height compartment at the back. And I really appreciate the catch that lets you release the chest strap -- so much better than slipping through it.

I love this bag! I ride my bike to class and this exactly what I was looking for. The sling across the chest is wonderfully comfortable and the pockets are perfectly situated making it easy to carry my phone, mat, water bottle towels and strap with plenty of room to spare.. I have a heavier mat and wasn't sure it would roll up into the strap provided but it fits perfectly. It is also very well balanced so that my heavy mat does not make the bag uncomfortable or awkward at all. The bag is sturdy and seems to be made of high quality materials. I must have researched dozens of similar products and nothing comes close in this price range. My only regret is that I didn't buy this bag sooner!

I wanted to like this pack. It looks great online and I really liked the green color but it does not work well for what is it's main selling point, to properly hold a yoga mat. The strap system is inadequate, primarily the buckles. Once you put the mat in it slips constantly. I bought it to walk to yoga class and it slipped and was frustrating the whole time. Also, the strap system on the pack is not great either, carrying any kind of weight like this, it's not a light backpack, with one strap doesn't work well. It should have a waist strap so it's not constantly slipping down. Maybe the pack itself would work better for someone taller, I'm petite, but the yoga mat would still be slipping. Wanted to like it, found it unusable. Returned it.

Very well made bag and very thoughtfully laid out, Good material, and the water repellent inside is a GREAT idea. I like to offer 2 suggestion, 1: I like to see the sling bag to have an option to hook on the other side for balance. 2: I use a Lululemon Big mat, the strap barely held it. but it takes some careful rolling in order to fit it in. I like to see the strap maybe 2 inch longer. it will be a total 5 star product!

You know those few items that you've purchased in your life and you're like, "Man this was made for me. Definitely a smart purchase." That's how I feel about this yoga bag. It holds my yoga mat with the yoga towel on it. Also my water bottle. The compartments are awesome. It's so versatile for yoga then gym. I absolutely love this bag. Everyone that sees me with it loves it too. I'm a crossbody bag kinda girl anyway and I wasn't really into a gym bag. This is small, but big, and light and portable. I've had it about 2 years.

Just got it today. The material is super thin. I don't think it's worth the price. I hate myself for paying so much for this product
