Very cool Dog DNA test kit. Did my German Shepherd and discovered some interesting genetics from this test kit. It's a real eye opener to what you think your dog is and to find out what they actually are. I would recommend this test kit to any dog owner who is wondering about their dog breed. I found it extremely accurate and easy to use (to get a sample from my dog). The test results were quick and easy to understand.

Adopted a dog; physical features seemed a bit off from her alleged breed. Test was easy to do, easy to send off, and, wow, her results were quite a surprise. But, can definitely see the qualities from her genetic mash-up, and appreciate the well-formated presentation of the DNA results. Would definitely recommend to anyone questioning why their toy breed is bulky or why Maltese has wiry coat. Love my girl regardless, but helps to know that she's not breed outlier, just.. a different mix of unique.

We found a puppy (only a couple days old) abandoned on a sidewalk and raised him. We had absolutely no clue what kind of dog we had and we weren’t totally sure these tests were accurate, but we thought we’d give it a try. I can tell you now that these tests are extremely accurate. Aside from giving us his breed mix, the DNA test predicted he would have perked ears, blue eyes, fawn speckled coloring, long hair, and more importantly, that he may have shortened limbs due to a genetic condition that may also effect his spine as he gets older. As you can see, he grew up to have literally all of those things. It was really cool to know what kind of breeds he’s made up of, and also have a heads up on a medical condition that will likely effect him in the future. We also found his sister! The kit is very easy to use and comes with a return postage label so it’s no cost to you. We just bought another one for our other dog and are excited to see what we get! We absolutely recommend every rescue-parent get one of these for their mutt!

Easy to use with clear instructions, didn’t take long for the results. However, I do not think the results are accurate at all. My dog is a rescue, and we know for a fact that she was born to a Dashound mom at a shelter, she was the only one in the litter born white and that did not look like the other littermates (weiner dogs). Her DNA came back with zero Dashound DNA??? she is also quite clearly a corgi mix, I will be doing the blood work via the vet to check her actual DNA as this seems like a waste of money.

I was skeptical when my rescue dog’s results showed 50% Great Pyrenees and looks nothing like one and is nowhere near the size. Thankfully, this will show “relatives” who had DNA tests done, so it showed his siblings. One sibling was his exact age, was born in the same state I knew he came from, similar color pattern, and similar results (you can see the dog’s relatives and their results). The only thing I’ll note is that some percentage are likely a touch off, but still is close. I say that because the dog that was in the same litter as him showed a 47% match, but had most of the same breeds with slight variations on percentages. Toughest part is getting the swabs from my dog, but do your best and they have you send 2 swabs in for better accuracy on tests.
