Himalayan Pink Salt Lamp Basket & Dimmer Cord Bulb

I purchased this Himalayan Salt Lamp after much research concerning all the wonderful and positive benefits they can provide. I was looking for all natural solutions for air purification as well as something to neutralize positive ions that are produced by all the technology, electronic devices and appliances we have in our home. So this was what I felt was at least worth giving a shot based on all that I had heard and read concerning them.This lamp has completely exceeded all that I could have hoped for. I love the simplistic beauty of this piece. It produces such a warm, welcoming and relaxing glow. I especially love the dimmer switch that allows you to adjust the amount of light it produces. This works great when you want to leave it on over night, but don't want the light to be so bright that it keeps you awake at night. Even on the lowest setting, it is still just so beautiful. It truly is such a unique and beautiful piece that it would compliment any style or décor. It is smaller than the other salt lamp basket I have, but is still large enough to function well in a small bedroom. This lamp came with all the salt chunks already assembled in the basket which was really convenient...just take it out of the plastic bag it was enclosed in, plug it in and away you go. The total weight of this lamp was just over 5 pounds, so it is still a really nice lamp.We have noticed many positive benefits since using this lamp daily. The air really does seem more purified. My husband had suffered for years with constant allergy and sinus problems. After implementing the use of this lamp as well as diffusing of essential oils, we noticed that his symptoms began to lessen and the repetitive sinus infections he once suffered from were a thing of the past. Some may notice benefits immediately, while personally I believe that this can take some time and provides the best results when used daily and long term. I know I will never be without at least one of them in my home. I purchased this lamp discounted, and it is the second lamp that I am adding to my collection as I want to have one of these in all of the bedrooms as well as the living room. If for any reason my review or opinion of this product changes after continued use, I will post updates.

I'm not huge on the Himalayan salt lamp craze, but my brother got me one, and I decided I liked it for a night light so i don't trip and die in my frankly hazardous kitchen, so I hit up Amazon to find another one for my equally hazardous bedroom. I've been making do for literal years by just throwing shirts/towels/whatever cloth is at hand over my lamp, because every nightlight's either to bright or too dim. So I got really excited to see this here lap. First off, I can't stress how great it is to be able to dim it. It never gets very bright, but it gets bright enough to prevent the whole "tripping to my death" scenario, and then I can dim it way down to just a nice, ambient glow. The design of this is particularly appealing to me, as opposed to the more common "glowing rock" look. The one I got was--I believe the design name in the drop down is "star?" I actually didn't notice the star until I got it in (it's what is commonly referred to as the "Star of David," which I find neither objectionable nor necessarily appealing, being an agnostic sort) more interesting toe is the triskelion, which I've coincidentally done minor research on in the past. The design looks just as nice in person as in the pictures, and the size is approximately what you'd expect; it's not weirdly large or small or anything.The only objection I have to this lamp is simply a fact of the design of the "basket" style of "rock lamp." Because the salt is touching the bulb instead of surrounding it, there is a faint burning smell. It's not a bad smell, and you can't really smell it unless you're within about two feet of the lamp, but it's worth noting. I already had an oil burner beside where I set the lap up, so it doesn't bother me, only concerned me during the first few days. I considered trying to rinse off the rocks, but my brother objected (something about the ions?), so I suppose I'll never know if that would stop the smell, but others might try it, if the smell bothers them that much.Mostly, it's a very functional, pretty lamp, and I'm considering getting another for yet another hazardous location in my home. The dimmable light really does make the lamp, if you're going to have it in a bedroom or such, and otherwise the "basket" is very pretty.

I love the color, very soothing. I love that it can dim or be brighter, which also alters temperature. The salt rocks are pretty and can be moved around to block the light more or less.I got the Flanigan design, which I loved in the online picture, but I had a few solid hours of dismay after it arrived - in person and when not lit up, the Flanigan design looks like a design based around heart shapes, which I hate. Not a huge fan of hearts. Made me really wish I had gone with the star shape. But later in the evening, when the lights were out and the lamp was on, I could see the Flanigan design instead, and it was harder to see 'hearts'. So I'm back to being happy.Plus, every time you play with this lamp, you can lick your fingers after. It's really yummy!I've been wanting a decent, attractive, grown-up nightlight for awhile now, and this has really made me happy. These lamps aren't good at reducing dust in your whole room, but placed right next to my bed, I did breathe a little easier at night (I have moderate, allergy-induced asthma). Since I tend to sleep with my face smushed into my pillow, I often have some trouble breathing when I first get up, but I really had no problem after I used the lamp beside my face. Will need to use an eye mask at night though if I want to keep doing that, as even dim it's still a bit much to sleep with when my face is pointed right at it.In short, very happy. Definitely plan to buy more lamps like this in future!And a note to other buyers: the leaf design looks like a marijuana leaf, so in case you were unaware, keep it in mind, unless that's what you were going for.
