Imagine my surprise when I opened up my box from Amazon and saw this item. The CAMCO Eaz-LIFT hookup tool has a solid iron bar instead of the pressed in metal (aka the "split spring roll") insert used for the Hook-up Bracket Insert that into the Hook-up Bracket to lift spring bar up or off the bracket.KUDOS and 2 thumbs up on this safer redesign. I can't wait to use it this summer. Less than 4 more months until mid-May. I am looking to upgrade my 800lb. max. tongue wt. rated spring bars to 1000 lb. model (48783) or even 1200lb. model (48733). The search for any higher rated R3/R6 spring bars online has been like trying to find an elusive imaginary unicorn. Never mind shipping them to Alaska.

Great works as well as original factory one

I realized the hard way I lost my original one. I think I left it on the ground and drove off without it but once I got home getting the stabilizing bars off isn’t too hard, but getting them back on without this tool is near impossible if your not perfectly lined up and level already. My storage spot is slightly tilted and I don’t bother leveling it when I store it so it’s easy to get one bar on, but the second bar is SO much easier with this tool. It’s really a must have for the hitch we have.

I have a Ez-Lift TR-3, weight distributing hitch for my camper and lost the hook up tool on the way to the campground. I ordered this and it worked perfectly! A well worth purchase at a great price!

Product make it very easy to seat the bars. Be sure to keep the weight on the tongue jack when using the tool.once bars are in place, then retract the tongue jack.

I was purchasing this product to replace my previous tool. The pictured item, which looks like my previous tool, had a split spring roll. My previous tool was malfunctioning because either this pin no longer held the correct round shape OR the hole it was in was enlarged. This made the tool very dangerous to use because it could easily slip out and maybe brake a shin bone.The tool I was sent (picture provided) had a welded rod instead. I'm hopeful that it's a strong enough rod consider the split spring roll was hardened steel. But I expect it to work out great.EDIT 11/24/2022The small rod is slightly smaller in circumference. I'm hopeful it doesn't slip out while in use and hurt me. I don't know what else to do/use in this case.

So i left my actual bar at a campsite when packing up. This came in and turns out it directly replaces the recurve 3 tool.
