These are the larger capers.They are wonderful for pizza or making cream cheese spread for lox, caper mayonnaise for eggs, tapenade, or anything else where one wants the lovely slightly piquant mustard caper flavor.The quality is outstanding and the price is the best I could find for the quantity.I would definitely recommend these to anyone who has a need for a LOT of capers.

This is the first review I have done for food items so I will keep it short.I was skeptical about buying foodstuffs on Amazon but this was canned so I gave it a go. I was pleasantly relieved when the jar arrived and i checked for that 'pop' when the lid is opened so that to start off was great.the actual capers are large and very tasty, firm to the bite with a pop of its own, not a squIsh that i have gotten before from supermarket capers. definitely a good find, these are great in cooking dishes for a little flavor explosion, i also use these capers instead of salt. yummy.

I have eaten capers for my whole life and of course they are salty. But these are extremely salty. So much so that you can't taste anything except salt. The capers lack the wonderful pungent taste they normally have. My husband likened it to biting into a cube of salt.

Good bang for the buck but not the most intensely flavored capers, bit mild. I do appreciate their crunchiness.

I eat a lot of capers and purchased this in an attempt to save per ounce. Capers are much larger (approximately the size of an eraser on a pencil) than expected. The flavor was also not as bright and briny as what I normally purchase.

I bought these a year or so ago, and I'm just now ready for another batch. They are extremely salty coming out of the jar, but that helps them keep longer. What I did was to have a smaller jar to store a smaller amount. I would rinse about 1 C of capers a couple times then put them in the smaller jar in fresh water. It takes some time for the salt to dissolve into the water. But within a day or so, the capers would be fine to eat and not nearly so salty as they are to begin with. Just don't do too many at once or they could go bad more quickly.

Excellent capers. They're largish and flavorful, just excellent. I've already used them in scampi and tartar sauce. I use capers a lot, and these are a great price and very good quality. If you, too, like capers in all manner of dishes, I recommend these. Even if you don't use as many capers as I do, these will keep virtually forever in the refrigerator. A good purchase any way you look at it.

Good value for the price however they were a little salty for my taste. After I gave them a quick rinse in water they were much better. My husband said he liked the fact they were large and salty.
