Catskill Craftsmen17-Inch Round Slab, Reversible

Nice, sturdy, pretty piece of wood. I bought it to raise up the level of my antique, round, solid wood butcher block. This adds 3" to it, making it easier for me to chop things on. I only wish that it was stained darker color. Right now its natural and just looks a bit plain and faded to me. I did oil it with mineral oil, but it still is rather too light. Anyone know what type of food safe stain I could use on this??

This cutting board is one of my favorite kitchen items. I have used it everyday for two years and it shows very little wear. It has a permanent home on the counter and gets a coat of Clark's mineral oil once every two months. What is really great is the added height, which takes pressure off my lousy back (I'm 6'2") when chopping veggies--no bending! It is also the perfect cutting surface which prevents skidding of the knife. If my full kitchen ever burned down this is the first item I would replace, unless my Global knives didn't survive the fire.

Love this cutting board! It is very nice, well made, and very detailed! No doubt an heirloom some day! I will be adding a small set of rubber feet to this. But that is just a personal preference of mine. Although they say it is pretreated with conditioner. I put a very, very heavy coat on this before I used it, and it absorbed all of it. If you have the space, it is nice enough to leave it out as it is attractive.

This is a great cutting board. Looks fantastic, even better when protective oil is applied. We've been through several cutting boards over the years that aren't as thick as his one & they've all warped over time. This one is very thick & has some weight & looks like it will last a very long time. Very pleased with this cutting board!

How much do I love this cutting board? It's beautiful and makes a statement on my kitchen island. I,of course, use it for its intended purpose but it also makes a great charcuterie board or a regal spot to cool my pies. Highly recommend - this will be an heirloom to a special niece one day.

I do like it but i will need something else to maintain in a good looking.

Looks very nice - I haven't used it yet, because I need to get some mineral oil.

Dull looking even after applying paraffin oil.
