Tough exterior fabric - padding is protective. Fits a 50" rifle easily. Not sure why people are complaining about the padding - this is not meant to be dropped off a cliff with your rifle in it! Not a hard case designed to be checked as baggage. Will protect your gun in storage, going back and for to the range, or on your way to your hunting destination. if you want leather, go ahead and pay more.

I got this for my 1944 M39 Finnish Mosin Nagant which measures 46.5" and it fits perfect. There's actually a little extra room which is fine with me.The quality is at least twice what I would expect for the price. The padding is just the right amount for a range bag and the nylon feels very sturdy.The zipper feels smooth and zips closed about 1 inch past the butt of the stock so when hung from the plastic loop at the muzzle end its less likely to open. No frills but for $16 I'm pretty stoked.I uploaded a picture of my M39 in the open bag (pay no attention to the carpet of questionable cleanliness.)

For the price, this is the perfect case for what I needed. I bought it for my dad's 410 shotgun and it fits perfectly with about 4" to spare (as you can see in photo). I'm glad I didn't get the 46", as it might have been too snug (or possibly not fit). We also wanted to be able to fit my grandfather's musket in there that is about 50" long and it will barely fit, but it works. The 52" measurement they give you is the total case, not the size of rifle that you can probably put in it, so keep that in mind when purchasing this case. This is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars (because of the sizing, I wish I could give it at least 4 and a half stars)... otherwise, it's a great case and I'd highly recommend it for those on a budget and wanting a simple, no frills case. The only thing I wish it has is a strap to put it on my shoulder, but we will only be using it to tote to the range and not long distances, so it's not a big deal - again, for the price it is worth it. Plenty of padding, as well, for just carrying it in the trunk to the range and keeping the gun safe from banging into things and getting scratched or scratching something else. It also fits a box or two of skeet loads (I put one box in and closed it and it works just fine, as you can see in the photo). I actually like the green case with tan handles better than the black (and it was also the cheaper option when i got it) as it gives it a more vintage feel.

This fits my Mossberg 590A1 12ga. First impression is it seems moderately durable. The padding is thick but kinda soft, so I don’t think the case can take much of a beating. But for going to and from the range, it’ll work just fine. Also a good price!

It’s a great case for the money, not my first and won’t be my last! I’m using it to protect a $3k shotgun, so it has to be good!

I was wary of these cases for several reasons: 1) How can a case this cheap be of any quality? 2) would they fit my guns? I have a 44mm aperature scope on a 49" rifle, line of sight on that one is 2.5 inches above boreline. These are advertised as "shotgun cases" and in my mind that means "no room for sights, definately no room for scope, and 2.5 inch tall rings is just dumb"I am so pleased with my purchase:1) The webbing handles, the zipper, and the thicker outer canvass shell and lining are AT LEAST AS GOOD as my other cases and better than some that were much more expensive. 2) these cases are really, really long. To fit the scopes, I opened the case fully, then folded it back upon its spine, centering the fold 1/2 way between the 2 vertical segments of webbing, with the webbing and the outer shell touching, and the lining "out" and sewed up 3/4" of fabric (under the trigger guard) so then, when the case is zipped up around the gun, it has the same dog-legged bend as the scoped rifle. Fits like a sock, but no effort to zip up, I love the fact that the case is such good protection and yet does not add a lot of space to the gun. (sometimes my trunk is full of them, space is an issue, hard cases are out of the question)And, since I brought it up, super tall sights arent dumb, they are just sighted in A LOT FARTHER! Shooting as an experience for me can best be quantified with: FUN = force x distance.

Fits a 44.5-inch length Henry .410 well with room to spare. Decent quality for the price, no manufacturer defects.

Fits the Remington 870 perfectly. Nice and snug. Only really use to transport. Don't use it for storage in the vault.
