3M 1538-2 Durapore Tape (Pack of 2)

I made a mistake when I purchased this because I was looking for a different type of tape. I was looking for a surgical tape that was more breathable. This is not what I was looking for, but it is exactly what it says it is. The tape was strong and it did a good job at staying in place for the short time that I actually used it. As I said, it was not what I was actually looking for, so I stopped using this as soon as the tape that I was actually looking for arrived. I would not discourage anyone from buying this tape, if it is what they want. It was just really my own mistake. It seems to be a good product.

I wanted this tape so that I could make a "gadget" for my hammertoe similar to what my podiatrist does - he rolls gauze in tape to create this. This tape seems to be of decent quality and sticks well. However, unlike what my podiatrist uses (which has more of a small windowpane pattern), this tape is more smooth/satiny on the surface. I didn't think that would be a problem, but when I make a hole in the center for my toes, that opening is more likely to rip. On the other hand, that makes this tape easier to cut if needed, so it depends on what you need it for.

A 2” gauze or nonstick square fits perfectly on a strip of this stuff - makes a nice giant Band-aid for covering things like patches of poison ivy. It tears easily without scissors. Leaving longer edges lets you wrap the bandage around a limb so tape sticks to tape; holds up through a lot that way without peeling off.

Wife was complaining about my lips motorboating. A small step of this across mid lip has stopped that as well as mouth breathing/dry mouth. You don't need to tape the entire mouth, just the middle.
