No, this is for metal-to-metal applications. Loctite 425 is recommended for plastic-to-plastic and plastic-to-metal applications.

Q: Is this product ideal for locking my camera strap screw in place?

Yes, I'm using blue Loctite for a BlackRapid strap in a DSLR tripod screw hole. I've also used it for securing Arca-Swiss tripod plates to camera bodies.
