Good, but dislike the sleep section
I wanted to recommend this book to other parents, but I dislike the section on sleep so much that I can’t bring myself to recommend it. The book is overall a great book to have on hand when raising children. The section on sleep says that toddlers “should sleep in a crib; an open bed is impractical because it is much easier for them to bother you if they can get out easily.” “Take your child into your own bed only as a last resort.” “You hear you’re child screaming. You *must* ignore it for five minutes.” That might be helpful to some people, but I wanted to mention it for those who take an attachment parenting approach and who might be put off by this section.
