Ilove cookbooks that are filled with ingrediants that I have in my kitchen or are rasily obtainable. I like familiar. When I got my first copy of this cookbook, I sat down and browsed it from end to end. Much of it contained ideas for recipes quite similar to ones that I use or are like what my mother used in teaching me to cook. I say this because I was looking for a cookbook for my grandson age 13. And this fit what I was looking for so much that I bought me a copy and him a copy, too. The first comment that he gave to me was that he liked all of the cooking tips. In fact, he said he like them because he could use them either with these recipes or from Recipes that he already knew how to cook.

We like the book very much. I bought 3 of them, one for my husband who likes to cook (am I the luckiest woman in the world or what?), and 2 for gifts for other family members who like to or have to cook. Lots of good tips and good recipes.

I liked the variety of dishes presented. It was easy to select the ones that I wanted to try first. I was not so pleased that so many of the selections were not interesting to me.

I like this book. I think it is probably older but nice and in good shape. The recipes are easy and new tips. Im glad I bought it and will use many of the recipes. This would be a good book for people that really dont enjoy cooking with fancy and extended complicated recipes. these are simple and many are a little different. Nice book! Glad I got it!

Great recipes. Easy to follow.

I thoroughly reviewed this cookbook along with many others, when I began cooking more frequently at home. I borrowed this from the library and was amazed at all the good tips and time savers in this book. It is presented in a simple direct manner and very easy to use.The recipes are great but the tips are the best. It was so good I bought my own copy here at amazon.Highly recommended.

Just recipes, nothing spectacular. Save your money.

This was bought for a Christmas Gift - so will have to wait until the new owner tries out the great recipes...!!!
