Awesome!!
This company has impressed me time and time again, and even though they are not the cheapest option, I find that they are the best reasonable option out there. These inserts last an extraordinarily long time, and I have put them through metals I never shouldn’t have been turning with these… Don’t tell the guys… but I even used these on wood… You know that stuff that grows outside and has leaves attached to it… it’s OK though, it was for a gift for my Girlfriend.I’ve tried really high-end, carbide inserts, and I’ve tried the really cheap ones, but Accusize brand is unequivocally the winner in my opinion. They have good quality control, and I haven’t received a bum lot from them yet! This multi pack has just about everything you would need to get up and running, and for a decent price! It’s also a good idea when starting out, or even if you have years experience, to try out new inserts to see what you like. I’m using inserts I never thought I would be using just because I found them by accident.I use these on my 10 X 22 metal lathe, and they haven’t let me down. They have a great wear, a good edge, and if you take care of them and hung them on a stone or diamond plate, will last you a very long time. Highly recommend!!

Worked as expected good price

Plenty sharp for use as replacements in miniature woodturning tools.
And a great deal cheaper. Can easily be mounted to custom made shafts of different shapes and used for hollowing. Nicely contained in a compartmentalized box.

extremely hard but not the sharpest - does fit the Accusize "2387-2001" kit flawlessly
Background: I'm a hobby machinist with a 12" South Bend lathe (c.1984). It gets regular use for small neighbourhood and household improvement projects. I'd previously bought the Accusize "2387-2001" kit which I rated 4-stars for build quality, packaging, and tool hardness. This is a "refill" kit with replacement cutters for the above kit (and apparently the 2387-2004) and has the same strengths and weaknesses: amazing packaging, well machined and hardened cutters but not the sharpest. As with the originals, II'll likely reserve this set for aluminum, light brass and copper. (plastics too)Still a great value and perfect replenishment for the 2387-2001 kit.
