Just bought a soon to be classic 96 Impala SS. Shopped around for a GM service manual and the cost blew me away! I just wanted to get mechanicaly familiar, not rebuild the car. This manual, as always by Haynes, has easy to follow directions and explanations for the cars owners. Plus great photo's. When you need immediate help or just to get familiar, this is what you need. That is if you can find one due to age of car and manual.

Bought this because I lost the original one lol. This manual is a great tool for DIY'er. My only complaint is that thr pictures are monochrome. That that big of a deal but sometimes it's hard to spot what the writter means.

YouTube doesn't have much on these old school cars. This book is amazing for maintaining this machine

What can I say that hasn't already been said about Haynes manuals? It's still the Old Reliable in my garage and has saved me bundles of cash over the years with such titles as 1976 MG Midget, 1980 VW Rabbit (Diesel) and many more.
