In depth honest review after 3 months and it's fantastic!!
The media could not be loaded. I've had this fridge since the middle of February and wanted to wait a while before adding a review as I wanted to give a good honest review in regards to the fridge for anyone who may be thinking about buying this fridge!!I bought this to replace my previous fridge from Barcool (Subcold Eco50) which also was really great however although the noise wasn't as bad as people made out on my previous fridge, it did now and again make some noise due to an ice box being inside my previous one which of course, like any fridge, with an ice box part it does make noise now and again while it freezes, just like any freezer does however this NEW fridge here is COMPLETELY SILENT and is absolultely fantastic!!!Of course, this fridge doesn't have an ice box - hence it being silent - so no place to store ice cubes or anything like that, if you wanted to do that of course but if you want a completely silent fridge, this is genuinely the one which honestly makes no noise at all!!- Noise and coolness -I have this in my room next to my bed so even at night when it's really quiet you don't hear this fridge. It keeps the cans cool, which I mainly use for drinks and it does a great job on keeping them cool! I did have to mess about with the settings a little and I did find that I had to have it higher than my previous fridge to have the nice cool setting I wanted for the drinks, however once you've got this set to how you want it (which is on the light at the top of the fridge) - it's absolutely lovely and it keeps the drinks nice and cool, which I've been really happy with it.- Space -It's not as spacious as my previous fridge to be honest, even though both my fridges are 50 litres, I did find that I managed to fit more in my previous fridge for some reason however if you're wanting to put in a nice amount of cans it's really great. You can fit 38 cans of pop (fizzy drink) in the fridge which the one's in the video are 330 ml cans - You do have to stack them as shown in the video as they also don't fit fully inside the parts on the door (edit - you can re-arrange the door compartments to fit more cans (around 44 in total) in which I didn't realise at first and close the door perfectly fine - see photo). The shelves you can also move around so you may be able to get a better set up for certain things you might want to put into the fridge, so when it comes to space it's not what I'd say the absolute best - simply because my previous 50l fridge fit more - however it's still good and sufficient and I'm sure with a little bit of moving around, you can get quite a few good things of variety within the fridge (if you played Tetris back in the day you're probably pretty good at this lol).- Look -The fridge looks nice in any room, so it's a nice addition to things and it's also not too big in size either as again, even though my previous fridge was also a 50l fridge, it was bigger in size too (probably why I could fit more in but they are both 50l fridges though) so if you're wanting something that looks nice too, this fridge really does. It's got a nice Barcool logo on the front which is like a bubble sticker and it does look nice to be honest and it's got a nice finish to the fridge too, kind of like a mat finish, so it's not too glossy or reflective either which I prefer, it's really nice.- Lock -The fridge also has a lock on it too, which to be honest, I never use though it's just a regular key type thing with the circular fit (I'm not sure if all these keys fit the same?) - but I suppose it's a nice extra if you wanted to use this also.- Longevity and brand -Barcool make wonderful fridges and even though I've replaced my previous one, that also is still working absolutely fine which I've just put into another room now and have had it a while so they do seem to last a while too as my previous fridge is also still working just as good as it was the day I bought it, so I do feel confident we'll have longevity with Barcool fridges too, so hopefully we can all have fridges that will last us a while also without them packing in on us randomly at some point :-)- Conclusion -All in all it's a really great fridge and although some other fridges may be a little more spacious, if you're wanting this to have in a bedroom to fill with drinks or the odd little things like snacks etc. it's lovely and does the job! You'll get a decent amount in for yourself, it keeps the items cool and it seems to be a brand you can rely on also so it's really all good really!! :-)The song that's playing in the video is MN8's "4 Ya Flava" if anyone is wondering what the awesome little RnB vibe is in the background!! :-)I hope this has helped anyone who might be considering buying the fridge to decide if you want this one or not, however sending much love to all and hope everyone is well out there also!! :-)Have a lovely day and sending love!! :-)

This is the fridge you’re looking for (update)
The media could not be loaded. I had a very similar fridge. I work in a hotel that was replacing all of the fridges so took an old one for my room. It was audible at times, but nothing to complain about, and I sleep with it right next to my bed, using it as a night stand. Now that fridge got my drinks very cold. However, that broke so needed a replacement. I bought this fridge as it is almost identical but silent and every so slightly bigger. Now I've had it plugged in on maximum setting for over 24 hours. My cans are cold, but not like they used to be with the old fridge. Perhaps if you left the door closed for days they'd be colder... I dont know. Overall, it's probably not quite worth £159, more like £119 would be fairer. If it got as cold as my previous fridge then it would be worth the £159 I paid.UPDATE - 04/12/23.So I’ve had this fridge for a little over 3 months now and I had to come back and update the review for fairness sake. This is a 5 star product, no question, so I have changed my original rating. This is an excellent fridge and worth what I paid for it in every way. I use this as a bedside table as well as a fridge, it’s silent. I have never heard a condenser kick in. It has never woken me up. As for not cooling drinks as much as my previous fridge, it does. It must just take time for whatever magic it’s filled with to start working.Lastly, it comes with glass shelves, a shallow door tray for the top of the door (good for chocolate bars or something) and a slim metal bar to stop drinks falling out of the door when you open it quickly. I’ve stripped all of that out to maximise space. You can store 9 cans of coke in the door, or 3 cans and a full 2litre milk. There’s a slight recess on one half of the door for bulkier products. With everything removed from the main body, you can fit 24 cans and it chills them perfectly.

Silent
Bought go put in my mother's room in the care home. It's silent, you never hear a sound from it yet its always nice and cool. No compressor cutting on and off.Good size and well layed out inside. Well built and and looks good, for a fridge.Hope it's got a good lifespan.

Difficult to remove door for reverse opening
I bought this because it said you could reverse the door to open from the other side. It was much harder than I thought it would be, as none of my many screwdrivers would work, and I had to buy a screwdriver that is made for appliance screws. It was very difficult to remove the plastic cover over the topside hinge screws, and some of the holes on the bottom, where the bottom hinge had to be attached, where covered with plastic underneath the outer surface of the fridge. I contacted the company who quickly offered advice, and I was able to eventually move the door. It works well and is very quiet, so ideal for a bedroom!

Great little fridge with the same quality as a standard family fridge.
Works just like a regular fridge with no trouble. Great quality and size for my use. Temperature control is as a standard family fridge, dial inside top. Happy customer.
