I looked around for a piping template and this was the most common one on a variety of sites, that didn't have plumbing specific cutouts, like faucets. While I understand isometric drawings, especially for piping diagrams that may be used to model layout in a building, sometimes a simple 2D layout will suffice.The cutouts don't support all the necessary items in an industrial setting. Obviously, basic valves are covered, as well as piping, but trying to make pumps is ridiculous. For example, it shows drawings of centrifugal pumps on the template, which you might think would be an example of how to make one look. The problem is that doesn't provide all the cutouts necessary. You can have the ovals to make the isometric inner/outer circles, but there is no way to draw the motor as depicted in the example drawing using a single cutout.It also took me a while to figure out how to use the three edges, though this was primarily because the isometric drawing paper has 30 degree lines on it (which apparently is typical for isometric drawings), while the template cutouts are angled for 45 degrees. Thus, trying to use pre-lined paper to ensure the drawings are lined up can be futile, as plain paper might be better.There are also a number of cutouts that I have no idea are used for. While I have industrial mechanical knowledge, I'm not a designer by trade, so even just a small card included with the template explaining what each item should be would help immensely.Overall, while it is useful for certain projects, its limitations make me resort to other non-piping-specific templates to get the job done.

I love this template! I am a Quality control personnel and I use my template for all of my redlines and weld mapping it has definitely come in handy especially for free hand

This template was an orgo savior! If you’re taking orgo get this. And get two extras for your study crew because it’s really that handy. If you’re having second thoughts... I want you to draw a heptagon right now. Go ahead I’ll wait.....

Pretty much what I need for class.Basic, doesn't include old symbols and learning old symbols is part of our curriculum, won't replace knowing stuff in your head, however it is a handy little reference and drawing aid.And it is made right here, in the USA!

Works as advertised

Very helpful for new engineers like myself when making isometric drawing sketches. I would definitely recommend getting templates like this ones and other one that pertain to drawings you make. Would definitely get again if needed. Only downside about this is when i got it, it was rounded, but i placed it under a textbook for a week and now its good to go.

It's exactly what you expect, good for hand drawn callouts though use a fine point pen if you want to use something other than pencil as it is a little tough to write with a medium point.

I am studying organic chemistry and biochemistry and can't for the life of me draw decent polygons for structures and mechanisms. Still, I hesitated to buy this because the price seemed a bit high. But it is very much worth it! I don't have to waste time anymore erasing and redrawing molecules because the rings don't line up or are all different sizes. Seriously, this is a huge stress relief. (But I still went with four stars because the price was still a bit high.)
