Hanging Acrylic Shelves for Windows (16" Wide, 2 Shelves - 35" Tall)

Quick synopsis: So after extensive research on acrylic plant shelves for the above 20inch width, this is the best deal you can find price wise online. It wasn't hard to put up, can be adjusted for heights depending on plant size and is sturdy.Long story: My kitchen window is 34in wide. I would have preferred anything close to 30 in long for width, but I couldn't find a shelf length that big anywhere. Originally bought a competitor brand for much less at 20 in and it looked ridiculous in my space so I sent it back. Continued looking. Found a custom web page that would do a 28in for over $130! No thank you. Stumbled on this Amazon seller and realized he had a 28in version with 2 shelves. I was so excited the price was decent (only $10 more then my last purchase for a 20in) and it was the largest I had found anywhere online. Came swiftly and well packaged. Noticed my purchase was "marked used but good" but bought it anyways. When it got to my house the box looked awful. Like it was taped to death by an amateur. I frowned but hoped for the best. Good news- parts were secure inside well. Bad news- upon inspection one shelf had what looked like a crack or some sort of issue inside the plastic near the hole which hangs the wire. I reached out immediately to the seller. He responded so fast. Same day sent a new shelf in the mail free of charge. Amazing customer service. We got it quickly and my husband and I proceeded to put it up. Was quite easy. I recommend 2 people to make leveling easier. Comes with a little level too. I also suggest placing a small plant on the shelf to make sure front and back part of shelf is level. The plant helps weigh it down slightly to easier move the small parts up and down the wire while leveling together at the same time both sides. Overall so pleased. I have small plants don't need big shelves yet but was nice to have room on my window ledge for bigger pots undernesth and later shelves can be adjusted. The acrylic is sturdy and thick. Shelves are beautiful once installed and seller so attentive. Give it 5 stars and wish I had another window to put another. Def recommend.

Beautiful, sturdy, easy to install. Ordering 2 more for other windows. I wanted to clear the Window sill where plants were previously stored and these work perfectly!

This is super cute, not as hard as I thought it was going to be to assemble based off other reviews. Pretty self explanatory. The only thing I can complain about is it’s a little hard to screw in the top 3 holes if you’re attaching it to your actual window ledge due to it being so close to the wall. This was less than an inch away from the wall so I couldn’t use a drill, it was too bulky. Tried several screwdrivers but they were too tall bc it was not far from my ceiling. Had to use a mini screwdriver & it was tough to get the screw all the way through. But no issues other than that!

It’s pretty sturdy. Assembly was easy enough but I recommend taking the time to read through the instructions and get all the tools aligned before you start

Nice but not really worth the $$

This has been hanging for about a month with no issues! I have to move it outward when opening the window so the ledge doesn't knock it, but that's a window issue and not a product issue. Ledge has knocked it a few times, but it has held up all the same. Excellent product!These shelves provide a safe place for my plants to remain out of reach from pets intent on chewing them to ribbons. Assembly was, as others have said, time-consuming. But in a relaxing way. Keep the collars lightly tightened while you're arranging and levelling the shelves. They provide a level, so that's super helpful! Everything made sense, but I was confused about the instructions of the screws on the window frame. It mentioned using a nail to anchor the middle and said that you did not have to anchor the ends. That was it...that's the whole step. So I was pretty confused and just winged it, hoping for the best. I took a picture of what I think it's supposed to look like (all the screws in holes with washers). I just used a screwdriver. Other than the assembly confusion, everything went smoothly! Just make sure TO TIGHTEN THE COLLARS BEFORE ADDING THE PLANTS. Otherwise, your shelf will fall a bit and give you a scare. Not speaking from experience or anything.

These are made for handing over the windows trim. My windows have no trim. I center mounted them inside the top of the window frame but it took some finessing of the pieces provided. They were easy to level, but the level provided is useless, so grab your good one if you have one. I don’t see any major sag in the acrylic so far. I like that both edges are reinforced and you can choose to install the trays with the reinforced edges either up or down. I placed my heaviest plants at the edges by the support wires and lighter ones in the center. 36” of succulents floating across my front windows looks pretty cool.
