Good model, directions had a few errors
The model assembles easily and doesn’t have too many fiddly parts other than the photo-etch valve handles on the front plate (with the world’s smallest washer). The decals are pretty good quality. The shells aren’t accurate as they weirdly scoop in, but since the design hasn’t really changed since WW1 it is easy enough to get blueprints from DoD RFAs (you can download my models from thingiverse). The propellant charges I modeled as they aren’t included… there are no decals for the shells so I just used a brush and yellow paint. The model can be either in travel or firing position, and the barrel elevates, but I ended up cementing it to stay in place for display.

“Hook up, Stand By, Fireeee!” My M198 Howitzer, Cannon Gun crew and Prime Mover.
This was an excellent model, very detailed pieces and roughly 99% accurate. The instructions are ok but can mix you up a bit if you are not careful. It helps to know the Gun system in advance a bit, my old MOS so I know it very well indeed. Plan a head of gluing, look at the pieces and how they go together, review ahead on the instructions so you are not surprised at all and know what to expect. I read some folks complained about the tube not going high enough. This is true you are very limited in angle out of the box roughly 20 degrees, however you get two options in the model parts C9 f C5 are what allow it to go up a bit more BUT to get an even higher angle of elevation like I did, you simply take the shortest one of the two and cut it to a smaller piece. I was able to get an angle roughly 40-42 degrees, note that you will be limited by part number C20 in terms of height. You could modify that piece as well for an even higher elevation than mine so it’s possible with careful planning to exceed 45 degree elevation, in the end the final limit will the breach hitting the manifold but if that’s what you want, then go for it. Many hand made pieces to give the full scope an Artillery unit in action. I got offers upwards of $500 for my piece flattered of course. It was my first attempt at building something like this, labor of love for sure but it’s staying put as this was me in my past life, now a center piece for conversations. This is a great piece, have fun building it, painting it, and making it look as you’ve imagined. Semper Fi to my fellow Devil Dogs out there, this one is for all my Arty brothers out there.

Really good kit!
I love this kit! Accurate and EVERYTHING fit perfect. I prefit before actually glueing and the fit was perfect. Although the deflection azimuth scale below the breech did crack, and the label on top of the hydrologic guages was a bit big but micro sole and it shrunk to fit within the bolt molds.

Cool little model.
Be careful, this model is very cool. However, it truly is not for the new model builder. Lots of very small parts.

Not for the weak of heart or beginners, but worth the effort.
I bought this a few months ago. I've put models together before and figured this should be no sweat.Nope. This thing is difficult. It has a few metal pieces that need to be bent and mounted somehow. I put it together working a few hours on Saturdays where I didn't have anything else to do. It is time consuming. However! When it comes together, it really comes together. It is extremely detailed and works really well. You can assemble it in towing or firing mode. Just be really, really careful cutting or snipping the piece off. There are many, many small pieces. Now that it's together and done, I love it. There is a detailed paint spec sheet and some decals that come with it, but I'm thinking I might just find some OD green spray paint and throw 80 coats of paint on it like we used to do on the real guns.

Poorly made
This was a gift to a family member and they struggle with the pieces not fitting and not available. It also took a long time to deliver

Missing Tires
Enjoyed putting it together until I got to part to put tires together, oops they never put them in the box abd still haven't received them even after a month when they said I would.
