Fun experience learning Kazakh
The MP3 learning is pretty good. A little English typo here and there but it's okay.Overall it is a fun learning experience.

so-so
This book is fantastic at explaining some things, but it lacks some proper english in some areas. Also, there are some things not explained and omitted so it leaves you wondering why some words were changed in form and my kazakh friend had to correct me sometimes in spelling and word form. So, I am not sure how trustworthy this book is, but it's like the only resource available for this language.....so sad.

Incorrect kazakh translations
This book is not in Kazakh. Given examples are in other Turkic language, but not in Kazakh. I would not recommend this book for beginners at all! Incorrect grammar. This book needs to be edited by Kazakh linguist before offering others to study the language.

A great book but a few bits that could be improved
I’ve been using this book to learn Kazakh for several weeks now. This is a great book to get started with the Kazakh language, and the audio files are especially helpful to get used to the pronunciation of the Kazakh language.I think there are a couple of things where the book could be improved:1. The explanation of consonant and vowel harmony in the grammar section would be a lot more helpful with lots of worked examples using different suffixes. For example it talks about when to use lar/ler/dar/der/tar/ter but doesn’t mention when to use da/de/ta/te/pa/pe in the context of vowel / consonant harmony. I’ve worked it out eventually but it would have been more helpful if there were lots of examples right at the beginning.2. The vocabulary at the beginning of the book isn’t organised thematically. For example in chapter 2 you learn the words for sofa and kitchen but not other rooms of the house. I think it would have been better to focus on family in chapter 2.3. The exercises at the back of each chapter seem to be primarily in Kazakh. It would be helpful if there were more exercises and if there were some to translate English into Kazakh to check that you understand the grammar correctly (for example translate My uncle is an economist into Kazakh).I would highly recommend getting one of the Kazakh vocabulary books to go with this textbook (I got the 9000 word edition). They organise vocabulary thematically so they are helpful to build vocabulary alongside the lessons in this book.Considering the price of other Kazakh language books, I think this one is good value and with the right approach is an excellent resource.

Un livre de base pour la langue kazakhe
Comme il y a peu de livres francophones pour apprendre le kazakh , il faut passer par l'anglaiset c'est un très bon rapport qualité-prix pour démarrer le kazakh.
