Festool Sander is great!
Excellent Sander, especially for furniture. The soft pad allows it to sand over curves. It's easier on the hand than others; less vibration and comfortable shape.

Should’ve Bought It Sooner
This is one of those purchases where I ask myself, “why didn’t I buy this sooner”. I’ve been wanting it ever since I started refinishing furniture and I’ve wanted one every single project I’ve refinished or built for the last 3 years or so. It’s such a comfortable sander to hold and the vibration is so much less than my mouse sander. The dust collection is superb. It’s so easy to do edges now and so much better for working with veneers. I didn’t think it was possible to get a good finish off of anything but hand sanding or a sander that rotates as well as orbits. This sander in fact, leaves a finish ready surface when I take the proper steps. Like everything else I’ve bought from Festool, this is high quality and damn near perfect. It’s light enough to be comfortable during vertical operations, I just can’t say enough about this sander. Don’t think about it, just buy it

great sander!!
this was a huge investment for me but I really like this sander. Its heavier than any others I've used but removes finish quickly. It comes in a hard case for storage and travel., and several sizes of sand paper to get started with. You wont regret buying this sander. It has alot of power!!!

Worth the money
Yes you can use a $40 sander but you will for go performance and comfort. Sanding all day puts a lot of dust in the air and this sander hooked up to even a cheap vac puts out virtually no dust

Exactly what I wanted
I considered this purchase for months. It seemed like a lot of money for a sander, but I have no regrets. It does exactly what I wanted—finish sands—and collects dust very well when connected to a vacuum. It was a splurge I feel was worth it.
