More than I expected
It was a Birthday present for my brotherOnce he’d opened it he sent me a video of the photographs. Diverse, stunning and so much more than a photographic collection of Bowie himselfA history of a true artist - wonderful and worth every penny

The Best Photography Book So Far on David Bowie. Every home should have one!
This is the best Photography book of The Most Remarkable Man. It is astonishing just how many versions of David Bowie there are! There was a “young” Elvis, and an “old” Elvis. Well, there was a Bowie for every occasion, for every generation, for every nation. Auliac’s Pictures make Bowie French. Andrew Kent’s a silent movie star. Schapiro, Rock, Sukita, O’Neil...all here...Awesome stuff. Scarisbrick’s shots from 1.Outside turn Bowie into a girl & a knife wielding woman. The book is huge and rich...the pictures are given room and breathe. This Is a biography of Bowie in a way. As the Sotheby’s guides are. As his music is. Bowie’s was one remarkable life. This book covers a good few Bowie’s. There’s still a rich well to tap.

Incredible big book very well done. There are beautiful photos from many great photographers, not all of them, many pictures anyway. Some of these pictures are very famous others are never seen for me.Introduction is by George Underwood.By every artist there is an article with information and memories of the making of the works.Unmissable for fans and collectors.

Icon; a book that lives up to its title
Superb collection of photographs of David Bowie, basically covering his life from a teenager onwards. Whilst some are not as technically proficient as others they still deserve inclusion as they go to show that it was almost impossible to take a bad photo of the man himself. A fascinating visual journey through time, styles, characters and locations. The book itself is physically really well put together, good strong spine, wonderful print quality and a decent size to appreciate the photos themselves.Very highly recommended! Essential for fans of Bowie and good photography

To good not to own…
Simply the best pictorial record of David Bowie that I have owned. Large format printed on high quality paper, this book has some really stunning photographs of DB.I like the narrative that each photographer gives about what it was like working with him which just confirms what a decent and thoughtful person he was.I highly recommend it to any Bowie fan that hasn’t already got it in their collection- 10/10.
