First album
Point #1 is Chevelle’s very first album. This album may’ve not been as well known or as popular as Wonder what’s next, but is a solid album! It’s a must have if you are a big fan of Chevelle!

A must have for Chevelle fans
I bought this album to complete my physical collection of Chevelle's discography after the release of The North Corridor. Point #1 is an album Chevelle doesn't play live much anymore, in fact I believe they may only play anything from it if they're playing in Chicago, considering it's their hometown. Either way this is their first studio album and if you are a serious Chevelle fan you have to own this album, fantastic music from start to finish showing how talented these guys were even in the beginning. Granted the recording quality sounds like it was recorded in their basement (it might have been) but that's easily surpassed by the end of "Open" which is the perfect intro to the album and merges seamlessly with "Point #1". Personally my favorite track on Point #1 is "Dos" followed closely behind by "Blank Earth" and "Long".Sure Chevelle has evolved over the past 17 years but who doesn't? I'd get bored if every song sounded like "Wonder What's Next" and "Forfeit". Chevelle is the perfect model of a successful band that enjoys attention from mainstream media but simultaneously works independent of the most popular trends in music, while also staying loyal and true to their fans. I'll always be a fan of their work.

Great album, but liner notes were printed wrong
Absolutely awesome album. The only complain I have is that they printed the liner notes upside down and backwards. What was supposed to be the album cover is on the back of the album, and what is supposed to be on the back of the album is printed on the front of the liner notes booklet. Kind of annoying, but the cd is still great.

Yes, its REALLY the band Chevelle, and it really is their first album. Its awesome!
It's Chevelle (yeah, the band that does The Red, Send the pain below, Vitamin R, Hats Off To The Bull). It's their first album, and it's not all that common to find any more. One of my favorites!

Never disappointed
I love all things Chevelle. They never disappoint me. Love them on CD, and more so live. This is an early effort and one I had not heard till later, after all their other albums...and its great to hear all their "sounds" and such in their seminal stages.

Chevelle's best album
Very few mainstream people even know this album exists. The lyrics are raw and emotional, the guitar groovy and dirty st the same time..every song is a driving force save 1 slow down track which is good in its own right.

Scratched up but works
Good cd but messed up when I got it scratched to hell and back, but it still plays so not too too bad.
