Great!
I do the whole butterfly thing with my son every year now. This is year two. Last year we got our caterpillars from a different place. Got two cups and one whole cup died. Never made it into Cocoons. So this year I looked for a different company.I was late to the game this year and pushing it on the max temp. The week they would come would be about 83 and Iām in the south so that feels much harder.I camped the mailbox and got them out fast. Was 83 and sunny that day.All were alive and in great shape. Very small and young! Mine last year I also recieved much larger. One cup has 5 and the other cup they gave me 7 which was also nice. Both cups are growing and thriving.Took two days from FL to NC.Def happy with these folks and will continue to order from here every year. Will update when they do thier thang and turn into butterflies.

Butterflies š¦
This journey has been so fun to watch and explore, my kids absolutely enjoyed every second of watching the life cycle of a caterpillar. šWe have 3 butterflies currently (As I'm writing this another one hatched so now we have 4.) but we are hoping for all of them to have made it. We did lose the log you were suppose to set the chrysalis' in so l hand made a solution to that š I cut open a hefty cup and put tape around the opening so it's a smooth edge and the butterflies won't hurt their wings, Then I placed the paper the chrysalis' are attached to on top and taped the paper onto the cup. The final step was putting something heavy on the bottom of the cup so it wouldn't tip over when the butterflies come out. So I placed a rock that my son had and a shell that we found at the beach in them. And now we shall wait for more to hatch We will wait for their wings to dry and to make sure they are eating before releasing them into the wild for them to live happily ever after! Thank you for everyone that has been keeping up with our butterfly journey! We will keep updating as time goes on! Also we had a caterpillar that was significantly smaller than the rest when we first got them. Heās still alive but growing a lot slower than the rest. Heās still in the cup with food and Iām going to try everything I can to help him get to become a butterfly š¦

Great for kids and adults, the great joy of nature
This is our second year buying these caterpillars. I am sometimes not thorough in reading instructions and caring for things, but these caterpillars are forgiving.. none have ever died despite being neglected and dropped/ shaken by children. Clear instructions and information on the type of butterfly. Great educational tool, we even got to see them mate and lay eggs in the end!

It is worth the money
This is our 4th time doing this. Itās fun and the grandkids love them. They love to see pictures and videos that I take. They showed up a day early. It was packed very well. I received 7 caterpillars and so far they are all still alive. Canāt wait for them to turn into the cocoon.

WE LOVE THESE CATEPILLAR'S that change into BUTTERFLIES!
Love this company! I teach Kindergarten and we use these guys every year to send us the caterpillars! I think we have had all of the caterpillars hatch. My students love this science adventure and so do I! It is one of our favorite days to have butterflies sit on you before they fly off after watching the life cycle of a butterfly in our classroom.

Overall wonderful, but add to instructions please
It was alot of fun to raise the butterflies, though I feel like the instructions should mention what to do is a crysalys falls, just set it at the bottom of the enclosure and it'll be ok, I unfortunately made the mistake the first time around with the crysalys, but I quickly fixed it. Also, there should be a warning about how much the butterflies poop after they emerge from the crysalys. Lol. But anyway, this is overall a wonderful product, I got to pin a few butterflies after they died naturally and they look beautiful.

Honest review
Ordered 2 containers of 5. One was fine, the other food/sand was broken up and unfortunately squished 3 of them which was upsetting for child they were bought for š¬. They are growing so fast as soon in the photos, they look to double on size each day. We bought the kit (home) separately, so we are waiting for the next stage to then transport them to the kit home ( pin them ). I will add another photo with updates.*Be mindful of the time of year you get them based on Season/Weather. If it's going to be under 60° you can't let them free. We are Upper East coast so these are a late spring/ Summer experience.Update: This was such a beautiful experience, we had to wait a bit for the weather to warm up but we sent almost all of them free. A few had beat up wings and I could see they weren't going to travel well. They did however leave us to raise the next generation. Added a new photo... we have eggs and I dont know exactly when to do. When getting the caterpillars they were give a container of food to live in. Any suggestions? Can we order food from you guys?

Such a great experience
The media could not be loaded. Caterpillars arrived and all seemed fine. It came with instructions that were easy to follow. A few were moving but they tell you they might not move for a day or 2. Iāll update once they turn into butterflyās or if anything goes wrong.Editing to report back on our complete journey! We ended up with 14 caterpillars, 14 chrysalis and 14 butterflies! I was shocked! We were given a few extra and I couldnāt believe that they ALL transformed. I assumed there would be a few that didnāt make it. I will admit I did not follow the instructions given. I opened the cups and placed them inside of our butterfly habitat on their side. I added some branches and foliage from our maple tree outside. I wanted the caterpillars to have room and options as to where to make their chrysalis but still have access to their food. You should follow the instructions from the company (but this is what worked for us). My 3 year old loved the experience of seeing each one come out of the chrysalis (although she did miss 2 they emerged early morning before she was awake) and letting each one go was so rewarding. A few hung around our garden for a while until they were ready to spread their wings! I highly recommend these caterpillars!
